Dr. William Keith Campbell, MD

The reason I am writing this review is because I found this website while looking for another doctor. I've been using Dr. Campbell for several years, but kept putting off finding a different one. Though I feel that he is quite intelligent, he should be in medical research rather than treating patients. He has NO bedside abilities. If he was at a social gathering, I'm sure he would be standing in the corner, totally terrified to talk to anyone. As in the other reviews have said, he doesn't listen, he won't look you in the eye, and seems nervous about being in the same room with you. But finally, he mis-prescribed medicine for me. I had an internal pain, and he prescribed skin ointment for me and told me that it would help my internal pain, even though I tried to verify this with him twice. The pharmacist verified that the ointment would in no way help the internal pain. I can tolerate Dr. Campbell's lack of bedside manners but not having the incorrect medicine prescribed to me. I would… wonder what might happen if I have a very serious situation. Dr. Campbell has a diploma on his wall that shows that he obviously had a great interest in either psychology or psychiatry. That makes sense, and maybe he should have pursued that field instead. But then, I would never use him as a counselor if I needed one. Also, the office is not really clean in all areas and there is one receptionist there who is, let's be nice here and just say that she is not nice at all. Bleach blond hair, slightly overweight, possibly named Krystal or Chrystal. That doesn't help me want to go to this facility either. I rated "ease of appointment" very high, probably because they just don't have that many patients anymore, so it's easy to get in. They have a poster that states that they are ALWAYS taking new patients. I wonder why!

I will never go see this man again. He is an absolute air head who does not let you speak, and if you do he does not listen. He has shakey hands and does not try to be gentle. I had gallbladder surgery and one of my incisions got infected, so I went to the doctor. Dr Campbell removed my stich and cleaned of the scab. He had a very hard time cutting the stich and cut me in the process, and then when he did find it his scissors were so dull that he had to saw at it to finally get it cut. Then he takes his little alcohol pad and pushes and rubs not gentley across the incision where he just got done cutting me. Finally he takes and slaps a band aid on me and says "well did I answer all of your questions, it was nice to meet you today" I have been to this man at least 6 or 7 times and he has no idea who I am. I think he means well however he does not do well.

I have seen Dr. Campbell on several occasions, each time hoping that "maybe he just had a bad day", or "maybe he was just too busy". But, I finally had to admit that Dr. Campbell just doesn't take time with his patients. He has never let me finish a sentence. He never looks me in the eye when he speaks to me and he never seems to be paying any attention when I speak to him. He seems to have no compassion for any condition that I am dealing with. He always seems to be in a hurry and talks to me like I have no idea about my own body. He seems to have no respect for women; almost as if we are a lower species that has no intelligence worthy of his listening. It's very sad that Dr. Campbell treats his patients in such a demeaning manner because he is in a prime location of good people who deserve a good doctor. I will travel much further and even wait longer for an appointment from now on rather than be humiliated and devalued by this doctor again.
