Dr. William Hughes Davenport, MD

I've been a patient of Dr Davenport for 7 years, since moving from Michigan in 2009. I've been very satisfied with the standard of treatment I have received and I can compare it to the treatment I received from two top class eye doctors.

I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years & have visited countless ophthalmologists over those years in many states. My experience at Stuart Eye was the absolute worst of all. The doctor was rude and uncaring. There was no concern for my vision needs. I will not recommend Stuart Eye.

This doctor made his diagnosis of cataracts and prescribed surgery for .There was no explanation of methods use or treatment/surgery options. When I raised questions about how my lazy eye might be corrected, he shrugged it off and with a rather condescending manner, belittled a prior medical opinion that an eye doctor (in another state )had suggested to me some time ago. While I think this doctor is good and competent,after reading up the several optional methods of surgery for cataracts, I felt the need to get a second opinion before continuing. I was left frustrated with this doctor's haughty attitude and the failure to consider or even discuss my many questions.
