Dr. William Lawrence Farrell

William L. Farrell, better known as Larry to his patients, graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelors Degree in Geology, and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. After three and a half years of active duty he attended dental school at The University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. After graduation he returned to the military as a reservist and is now a retired Navy Captain. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of the Academy of Forensic Science, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Odontology. In 2008 there are approximately one hundred diplomats in the U.S. and Canada.
He was among the first group to receive his adult Oral Conscious Sedation license in the State of California and is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, DOCS. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Northern California Dental Association.
In …addition, Dr. Farrell is a nationally recognized Board Certified Forensic Odontologist. He organized the Far Northern California Forensic Dental Team and is a member of the California Dental Identification Team, CALDIT which is under the State Office of Emergency Services. He developed a technique using a CAT scan to identify bite marks. His technique has been used by the FBI Academy.
Dr. Farrell genuinely cares about his patient’s dental health and strives to provide information that helps them to make informed decisions about their oral health needs. He believes in a highly trained staff and in using state of the art technology. He and his staff attend numerous continuing education courses annually. He incorporates the latest treatments and technology for the benefit of his patients, using digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and isolite barriers, paperless charting, as well as superior products.
