Dr. William Vance Good, MD

Dr. Good incorrectly diagnosed my daughter's vision prescription (a correction of 2 vs. her true correction of 7/7.5, which he did by sight without dilating her eyes or using any modern tools) and then did an unnecessary strabismus surgery based on his incorrect diagnosis, which we had to have undone by another doctor with a second surgery. Now her vision is perfect. I can't even begin to express how upsetting and angering this was for us. We have a friend whose daughter was also a patient of Dr. Good and, upon hearing our story, took their child to a different doctor and found out that Dr. Good's diagnosis of their daughter's eye condition was incorrect. Avoid Dr. Good if you care about your child's ability to see.

Dr. Good is fantastic. However, some of his staff members really can be much much better to be reasonable.

Robo-calling patients after 5pm on Friday Sept 2nd, of a holiday weekend so to say that the appointment we have waited 3.5 months for will now be cancelled because of the office being closed is pretty low.... I am sure the phones will be lighting up on Tuesday morning.

Dr. Good correctly diagnosed and treated my daughter's lazy eye without patching, after Kaiser gave her the incorrect prescription for glasses (which gave her a headache). After several years, she can see very well out of an eye that was almost blind. Dr. Good is very patient and kind, as well. My daughter has autism, so that was especially important.
