I was referred for care following a knee injury. Dr Greer was very thorough and took a great deal of time involving me in a proposed plan of care. My recovery has been successful and I am grateful for his care and the efficiency of his staff. Waiting times were very short and office staff were extremely pleasant and competent.

He was good to talk with and understanding about my feelings about shots. He explained the procedure very well and was very professional.

I am a former radiologic technologist with 10 years of experience working in hospitals with trauma patients and orthopedic surgeons, among others. Based upon that background, I can confidently say that Dr. Greer is a great physician. I chose him once I found out that he is board certified in shoulder and elbow surgery and that he is a former team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates. It is an understatement to say that he knows what he is doing. He is not arrogant, like many physicians in orthopedics. His office atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried. (I have seen orthos in the past who try to see 100 patients a day and spend less than two minutes apiece with each of those patients and Dr. Greer is not one of those guys). Each time I have seen him I have felt as though he was willing to spend as much time on my problem as needed. He takes the time to get to know his patients. After seeing him in his office twice, he was able to recognize me on the street and address me by name. He has… recommended a shoulder replacement on me due to early and advanced osteoarthritis. This was disappointing because I had hoped he could fix my problem through arthroscopy. He told me that he could indeed scope my shoulder, but it would be a wasted effort because I would return to the same negative position within 6 months to 1 year post-op. I have a shoulder replacement on the opposite shoulder (performed by another physician) that has failed. So, I am putting off having my "good" shoulder replaced as long as possible and Dr. Greer understands my concerns. Once I have had enough of the pain and restricted movement, I will finally submit and allow him to do the surgery. When I do have the surgery, I want only him to perform it. I have the utmost confidence in his judgement and abilities. After I give in and allow the surgery, I will update my review. I would recommend Dr. Greer to anyone and would urge them to drive 100 or more miles to see him if they have to.

Was very favorably impressed with my visit to Dr. Greer. Have to have MRI and see him again, so I am unable to complete the rating until I am finished seeing him.

This Dr (?) replaced a broken knee replacement with a old and out of date implant that was very restictive given my age. From the start I had nothing but problems with it, and had to go though two other surgery's to try to correct what he had done. In addition he and his office staff made errors in the file transcripts which caused me have to go to Workers Comp. court to fix (Which he admitted to in his deposition) Would not recomend him to anyone.

Dr Greer and his team are excellent! Everything before, during, and after my shoulder surgery went exceptionally well.

Is a fantastic Surgeon! My healing time was so much faster than I thought and his care was outstanding! This is one top notch Doctor! The docs like this are very far and few between!
