Dr. William Everett Groves, MD

We came in with my daughter (almost a year old) and had to see him since her normal Pediatrician was gone for the day. She had been sick for 5 days with high fevers, a rash, and constant diarrhea. From the moment he walked in the room he began lecturing my husband and I about all the thing we are doing wrong as parents and didn't address the medical concerns we were dealing with regarding our daughter. He made snide comments about the sippy cup, (suggested by her Dr) she was using, the liquid in the cup,(approved by her Dr) the fact that every single thing in her reach needs to be cloroxed to death, (go against all I have learned as a Early Childhood Educator and what her Dr said) said she was basically obese even though she was in the middle of the chart, suggested we were bad parents because she was moving around and whining, (it was her nap time) and my favorite part of it all, told us "the best pacifier is your cell phone - stick that in front of her when she is hungry or… thirsty and she will be fine!" Needless to say, I will NEVER allow my child to be in his presence ever again. We even told him about the rash and how bad the diarrhea was and he NEVER even looked at her body to check her. He told us that diarrhea was common and no big deal...WRONG! It is when it's been 5 days and her stools are usually solid... Please be mindful when seeing this Dr. He has a lot to say but not much that seems accurate nor does he care about your concerns.

Wait times suck, they should probably schedule him less patients, however we figured out why they suck and it's because he takes his time with his patients. He doesn't just come in and rush out. He cares about his patients. We did not see eye to eye when it came to breastfeeding my son, however all his other qualities kept me with him.

Really like dr Groves. He is very friendly. My three kids feel very comfortable with him. He spends plenty of time for checkup and answers every question. The best pediatrician in the town.

Dr. Groves has told us some very strange things about raising an infant, some of which I question as being correct. He is very quick to tell you what to do, but doesn't listen to the concerns you have as a parent. He doesn't seem to remember what he told us at the previous appointment, because I don't think he keeps track of what he said in his computer.Wait times are long, usually 30 minutes to get into a room and sometimes 20 more minutes after that.

Been taking kids to him since birth. They are 16 and 13, and in excellent health thanks in part to top notch health care by their pediatrician since birth Dr. Groves. His bedside manner makes me want to take him home with me hahahaha.
