Dr. William George Hamilton, MD

Terrible hip replacement outcome. I would caution patients about using him. He only publishes good reviews on the anderson clinic website, but take a look around at other reviews. I was young and active and after I let him replace my hip I have been in chronic pain with a poorly placed joint. Steer clear of him and see a surgeon who is more caring and careful.

I had my hip replacement in 2020. My hip is fine, however, Dr. Hamilton had very poor bedside manner. And when I developed Cellulitis 10days post surgery on the same leg, he completely ignored it and said it was not bad. I ended up in Fairfax Hospital in a life threatening situation needing 4 days of intensive IV antibiotics.. The situation was never addressed when I went for post op follow up with his PA. Dr. Hamilton is a good surgeon but I 'm grateful to my Primary Dr. for sending me directly to the hospital from his office.

Dr. Hamilton diagnosed both hips with osteoarthritis, with the left side being much worse than the right. He performed the surgery in May and it is the best thing that has happened to me! The surgery was in the morning, I was home that afternoon. They had me do physical therapy via an online app. My recovery was fast and complete. I no longer have any pain nor do I limp. My only regret is that I didn't listen and have the surgery done sooner. I spent two years unable to sleep at night and in constant pain. Today, I can run, workout, cut the lawn, tie my shoes without pain, and I feel years younger. Getting the surgery gave me the ability to exercise again and my energy level is amazing. Dr. Hamilton and his team are outstanding, they called my wife and kept her informed since she could not be with me at INOVA Mt Vernon.

Great Doctor

I have just recently had my second hip replacement by Dr. Hamilton. Just like the first, I am recovering quite well and quickly. He is the only orthopedic doctor I will allow to operate on me. I traveled from Athens, GA for this surgery.

I would recommend another doctor

Both of my hips have been done by Dr Hamilton about 3 years apart, and I am exceedingly happy with both results. I am a retired OR nurse and I was impressed with the entire experience, including my appointments at the Anderson Clinic, as well as, my hospital experience at Mt Vernon Hospital.

Dr. Hamilton did a Left Hip Replacement. I was given my life back. He is a brilliant surgeon
