Dr. William Daniel Hardaway Jr, MD

My mother saw this cardiologist in the late 1990s when she was experiencing serious heart symptoms. She had frequent skipped heartbeats, irregular rhythms, and episodes where she almost passed out. She even wore heart monitors that recorded the abnormal heart rhythms. Despite this, he told her that it was all in her head. My sister was only 17 at the time and had to tell the doctor not to speak to our mother that way. For years my mother remained undiagnosed. Eventually she was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation after seeing other doctors. Because it went untreated for so long, she ultimately required surgery and now has permanent heart damage. Her heart is currently functioning at only 38%. This was our family’s experience, and people should be aware and make informed decisions.

This is the most heartless physician I have ever had the displeasure of having visited! I was an overweight patient experiencing palpitations. He told me that he could not send me for a CT because I would "break the machine". Rather than locate an alternative means for diagnosis or refer me to a facility that had a CT that could accommodate my weight, he simply told me I needed to lose weight or I would die. He then offered to prescribe nitro pills for me to use should I feel a heart attack coming on!! He simply didn't want to bother with me and didn't care at all if I lived or died. I went to a different cardiologist who was able to use alternative measures to diagnose me. Fortunately my heart is healthy and the palpitations turned out to be Gurd! I was appalled at the lack of compassion and concern from this man! Do yourself a favor an find a different physician!

This man does not have a heart. Just does not care what he tells his patients. Just does not have good professional or verbal skills at all. Went a couple times and every time I went he put me on a different medicine and nothing was working. Currently looking for a new cardiologist.
