Dr. William Miller Johnstone, MD

I was disappointed with the doctor. I was at the hospital for six hours waiting on a c section delivery and met with the residents who were not impressive at all and actually worried me further knowing they would be doing my c section. Dr. Johnstone did not introduce himself to me until I was on the table and it was a five second "Hi, I'm the doctor" which made me feel even more uncomfortable. Then the resident was reading my chart and stated incorrect facts about my history and I began wondering if they had the right person. I had such a wonderful doctor with my other children that I was surprised by the coldness of this doctor and his residents. Its so important to make your patients feel comfortable so they have confidence in their doctor. I didn't get that with my experience at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Johnstone has been my doctor for 17 years and he is a wonderful doctor that came highly recommended from a doctor at duke hospital. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor. He takes time with his patients and has a great bed side manner.

He delivered my second child and he didn't say one word to me or my husband during the whole delivery he didn't even say hello . Also did not offer my husband to cut cord. Also gave me a episiotomy when it was not needed, my first child was 8 lbs 6 oz and did not get one and was not needed I didn't tear I was fine but when he delivered second child she was only 7 lbs 2 oz and he did episiotomy. He is a very rude and cold man

Dr. Johnstone has always treated me with the utmost respect and has always listened to what I had to say if I had something wrong with me. He is an excellent physician who knows what he's doing and always puts the patient first. He will be missed in Pinehurst, NC. It will be hard to find another doctor to measure up to him.
