Dr. William Ernest Karnes JR., MD

Dr. Karnes is an excellent doctor who is personable, punctual, attentive, and meticulous. His bedside manner and clinical skills are refined and exemplary. He's the gastroenterologist you can fully trust and count on.

WOW! Oh C'mon!? Anyone that gives this doctor less than 4 Stars on a BAD DAY is just crabby and taking it out on someone undeserving of such crabbiness. I went there to have my first exploratory test all men of a certain age dread! In fact my really good primary care doctor I've had forever didn't convince me as well as Dr. Karnes that not only did it make sense, but there was much less to be concerned with than people make out of it. Being a bit of a Physician Connoisseur having been treated by doctors in over 20 countries (somehow, I've made it through 53 other countries without the need for a doctor! :) from shaman and witch doctors to the top of their field Asian, European and American doctors, Dr. Karnes is everything you could want or expect from a doctor. -Timely -Polite -Very Well Informed and spends the time to explain any details -Proactive and possessing the empiric abilities of a doctor well beyond his specialty area understanding how it all relates to one… another. Which is hard to come by in American medicine these days. Having a calm unrushed persona in a world where doctors have to see dozens of patients each day is a feat in itself and makes for a great well-rounded patient experience! Finding a doctor more focused on healing and patient care is an increasingly rare thing in America. The office staff were wonderful too! First time in a decade a phlebotomist took my blood without leaving the slightest of bruises...NONE! ZERO! THAT'S WORTH 5 STARS ALONE!

Dr. Karnes is excellent at diagnosing the problem/s. He is able think outside of GI issues which is unique for a specialist. His clinical skills are outstanding and he is Very gentle. Dr. K has a great bedside manner and very caring. I am never embarrassed or uncomfortable with any of the procedures I have had or discussing any problems with him. He is the one you want on your health team.

Simply horrifying! Would recommend Karen's to my worst enemy. No time spent with me post procedure. Over all the visit was a nightmare!

Dr Karnes is the kindest and most patient physician I've ever encountered.

Dr. Karnes "Actively" listens to you. i had to have an EGD and a Dilation proceedure without sedation and I was able to watch the proceedures on a large, color, computer screen. Dr. Karnes explained what he was doing and the anatomy of the esophagus, small bowel, and stomach. When the procedures were finished, my first 4 words were, "That was too cool". All the staff employees I have met, have been top notch also. Very caring

Dr Karnes is a kind and caring man. He is very easy going and gives you his full attention. Although I'm still without a diagnosis he certainly has tried and is very personable. He returns phone calls and has a gentle bedside manner. Mayo Clinic trained he's quite knowledgable.
