Dr. William S. Ketcham, MD

I received excellent care from Dr. Ketcham. He is both kind and efficient. I had a cancer removed and he made it as easy as possible and I trust his expertise.

I've seen Dr. Setcham twice and the beside manners was very Poor. I'm having problems with dark spots around my ears and under my chin, as soon as he walked in and I told him why i was there he told his nurse to put some alcohol on some cotton and rubbed my ears as if I was dirty. He has taken two Biopsies and yet after a month, he has not come back with a report. I was called and ask if he could do another Biopsy, of course I said no and I will never go back and if you are reading this you would not go to this doctor at AZALEA just RUN He wants to take a third Biopsy, i'm never going back.

I believe the Dr. Ketcham is competent but has very poor bedside manners, does not explain anything. If you are there for one thing and want him to take just a quick look at something else forget about it he will force you to make another appointment just for a quick look. If you like to leave a doctors office feeling good that you got the best attention possible and that you feel important to the DR. and that he actually cares about you then this is not the doctor for you.

I went there a year or so ago with my Husband.. He was there to have a skin cANCER REMOVED.. I asked Dr. Ketchum a question and he kind of flipped me off.. I have an area on my scalp that i want checked but you can bet your last dollar that it will not be at this facality!11

Had a skin cancer, Dr Ketchum removed with 13 stitches, no antibiotic & no pain medication for after surgery. Had to wait about an hour over from my appointment to go into surgery. Got a staph infection. My general doctor told me I was the 2nd person in one day to come from Azalea with a staph infection. Was charged more than $60.00 out of pocket over even with insurance. Had to go 5 times total. Had to call the office to get results.. automated system did not work in my initial visit to see if I had skin cancer. My infection has stilled not healed after 4 months...Going to my general doctor today after my work nurse said I needed to and was very concerned..

I went for a cyst, never saw the doctor the one of the ladies stuck me with needles which was painful, then said she was draining it and banaged it up. Told me not to remove until next day, well guess what it looked just like it did before they touched it. What a waste of my time and money when I told them I wanted it taken off. I will never go back to them again, had been to them when they were at other location for something else. I think they want a person to keep coming back for the same things so they can pay for that big new office. Also ladies at frong desk weren't friendly at all. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking peoples money and giving nothing in return.

So my wife has been going there because one of the nurses there is her personal friend. To date, things have been okay and she has had a few things removed that were "questionable" according to the pathology report. Recently, she had a toenail removed that was damaged and not healing well. Today, she went for a follow-up appointment for the toenail and was promptly escorted to the surgical room. When the nurse came into the room, she made sure my wife was there to get a mole removed from her shoulder. My wife said no and that she was there for toenail follow-up. Then it starts. Dr. Ketchem comes in and berates my wife for not getting this mole removed because she has done some research and gotten a second opinion. Now, he no longer wishes to see her for anything. Keep in mind that she was there for TOENAIL FOLLOWUP. He accuses my wife of second-guessing his opinion and says he cannot deal with that type of patient, then proceeds to give half-baked feedback about the toenail. What… happened to doctors that appreciate a well-informed patient who takes an interest in her own care? Seems this guy is fine as long as you don't question his judgement. He also seesm very unwilling to discuss a patient's condition if it requires too much of his time. I realize things may be hectic due to the holidays, but patients deserve to be treated better than this ALL the time. My wife will not be going back to this facility because of the way she was treated and I cannot recommend this place to anyone who is active in their own healthcare.

Cannot recommend this doctor. Got infection in area of surgery on my back. When I called to say I needed him to look at my back because I thought I might have infection, I could not get an appointment for 3 days! He "touched up" some brown spots on my face and neck. They look much worse than before! His procedure was painful and much too deep for my problems. He is knife happy. I have never rated a doctor before, but felt I could not allow others to see him without the benefit of my experience.

Dr. Ketcham has been WONDERFUL and accurate in diagnosing my skin cancer. I would recommend him to anyone.
