very well trained and experienced

I had a face peel when Dr. Kivett was practicing in Santa Rosa. I had wonderful results along with two friends that had different procedures. We were all very satisfied and loved the office staff too! This was the second time I had this done so I definitely could see the difference..much better with Dr. Kivett !

I'm a 20 year old college student who was diagnosed with melanoma, a very devastating condition. Dr. Kivett is exceptionally trained in skin cancer, it's removal, and reconstruction. I'm going to be in my sister's wedding this fall and besides worrying about cancer, I thought my surgery would be visible in photos and the like. Dr. Kivett comforted me, educated me, and removed my cancer completely with a procedure called MOH's. He actually trained with the doctor who invented this type of procedure. (Dr. Moh's). I am healed, happy, and looking forward to looking beautiful and feeling beautiful in my sister's wedding photos.

He should not be touching anyone. He scared myself and two of my friends. STAY AWAY

Very professional and caring staff. Put me at ease during a very stressful time. Time was spent with me explaining all procedures and what to expect. I'm very happy with my overall experience with Chaparral Medical Group and Dr. Kivett.

Any dermatology problems, he's very good. Hand problems, he's good. Plastics, don't even sit down, just run like your pants are on fire!!!!! Do not drop and roll, just RUN. If you want proof, check his numerous lawsuits. Look at HIS pictures of HIS work; talk to his patients, in private. Check out how many employees he's had; can he be such a bad judge of character that THEY were the problem, not him? Ask the hospital employees how skilled he is, how he's always hours late to his surgeries, and how he takes hours to do what other surgeons complete in one third the time. Ask about why he does so many revisions on the same patient to correct his mistakes. Find out who his employees were that are no longer with him, and ask what they left. Ask other medical persons what they really think of this person. Ask why many local hospitals and surgery centers will NOT allow him to practice at their facilities. Do some research BEFORE you wish you had. Don't take our words for the… truth; find the answers for yourself, but PLEASE please don't just take his excuses for truth; find the truth yourself. Do this with any person you're going to trust with your very life.

Dr Kivett has no bedside manner. He is uncaring, and doesn't follow up how he should. He needs to go back to school and retrain, because his work is bad. He doesn't seem to know what he is doing, and likes to make changes about decisions mid-surgery without discussing it with the patient first. Everyone I know who has been to him has been left with horrible scars, and a friend who had reconstructive surgery even lost most of her breast tissue because he took out the stitches too soon, and didn't take care of her post-op very well. Do not go to this guy!!
