Dr. William Reynolds Lile, DO

I went to dr.Lile who delivered my daughter via csection in 2019. I had what was pronounced a ectopic pregnancy in another ER/Hospital and wanted to follow up with my daughter a week later to make sure everything was fine (as I was told to do and sacred heart’s ER IS A MESS) so he ended up scheduling an emergency D&C the next day after I seen him, he’s always been such a great doctor. HOWEVER his nurse asked me to sign a paper to get my results from WF, and I did so. And then they called to harass me 3/4 times once I got home after getting the news that WF may have misdiagnosed me and I terminated my pregnancy for nothing. It was very emotional for me, but I had the D&C the next day. Dr.like was very rude and said “well West Florida has no record of you ever even coming there” and then one of the nurses after the procedure told me “so I heard your story how true is it” and I was completely in shock that he would say that to a patient. Dr.lile was also very cold towards me before and… after that procedure. I never even went to the follow up appointment for it because I felt so depressed. I’ve now been on antidepressants since that D&C and will never understand why he started treating my so poorly because I didn’t go to sacred heart to begin with, not to mention I called when I had these issues and the front desk told me he didn’t have anything available for a couple of weeks and obviously I couldn’t wait. Moral of the story, I got a new doctor who is wonderful and took in all of these concerns who found my records at West Florida the first time, with no issues.

I used to like Dr. Lile. I’ve been seeing him for 7 years. But then when my husband and I decided we wanted to try to get pregnant, Dr. Lile did a complete 180 and now I refuse to ever see him again. I’ve already lined up another doctor for when I do get pregnant. I was emotional and flustered when I arrived to my appointment, and then was called back fairly quickly to have my vitals taken. I went to the back and was weighed (their scale is way off, by the way). I was then asked if I had any other issues or questions I needed to talk to the doctor about. I told her yes, I might be pregnant. And she asked, “well, what makes you say that?” I told her all my symptoms, and she decided I should take a urine test. She said if it comes back negative to take one at home in a few weeks to confirm. Okay. So. Did that, then was taken to the exam room. Sat on the table and then a few minutes later, Dr. Lile comes in the door in a rush. First thing he asks me is if I want to renew my birth… control. I told him no. He said, “well, why not? Are you trying to get pregnant?” and I told him, yes, my husband and I are trying to have a baby. Instead of asking any symptoms, when my last period was, when I stopped taking the pill, etc., he just went in on my weight. I started crying because he was putting me down so much. Through tears, I told him that I drink a lot of water, I’m active, and I watch what I eat. He then said that he would want me to lose at least 80 lbs before I should even consider getting pregnant. He then started talking about caloric intake (even though I had just told him that I watch what I eat). He never acknowledged that I was crying, never took my feelings into account, but seemed to basically have a set script for people in my “BMI” category. Which, BMI was debunked long ago and does way more harm than good. So instead of talking to me about anything about how I was feeling, etc., he told me to lay back so he can do the exam. So he takes about two minutes to prod my belly, my breasts, and then do my Pap smear. He then stood up and said, “okay, see you next year.” Again, seemingly forgetting or ignoring that I just said I am trying to get pregnant. And I had to ask him for my urine test results, which he didn’t even know they had me take one. So I get dressed and leave the room, and he comes up to me in the hallway and said, “it was negative.” No empathy, but instead made it seem like he thought I was making everything up. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough, and then I went and cried in my car for 30 minutes. A little while later, I get a text message saying my birth control was ready to be picked up at my pharmacy. I was furious. He put in a new prescription even though I expressly told him several times that I did not want it. So I called the pharmacy and told them to put it back on the shelf. TLDR; I’m never seeing this doctor again. I guess if you’re small or underweight, maybe he’d be a good doctor. But for everyone else, so somewhere else. And if you ever have any questions about anything, you’d be better off googling it than trying to get an answer from Dr. Lile, because he wants to get in and out of that exam room as fast as possible.

He did amazing with me, & my emergency c section. Very understanding doctor and does everything he possibly can to understand whats going on.

I have encountered physicians that are great, but the support personnel encountered prior and after left much to be desired. No so with Dr Lile’s team. I have been treated as a person and not a number or a another job to make it through the day. Time was taken for my questions, and questions were asked of me that made me feel cared for. Good job Sacred Heart OB GYN team!

Dr. Lile is an excellent doctor who delivered our 5th baby and also our 5th cesarean section. He is to the point, and I like that. He always answered any questions I had. If you go in with a list of questions, you will be satisfied. He always had a smile and was courteous and kind. Dr. Lile is a pro-life doctor who speaks nationally for the unborn. I know of at least one baby that he was able to save after a mom attempted an abortion and changed her mind! She went on to deliver a beautiful baby. I highly recommend Dr. Lile. Just go in with your questions ready and you will not disappointed. The staff is friendly and professional and will help however possible. Thank you Dr. Lile.

I was scheduled to have my anatomy scan on Friday October 6th, I called the office to confirm the appointment time, only to find out it had been cancelled because "the doctor would not be in". OK, fine. Things happen. I was rescheduled for Friday October 13th. Got a phone call yesterday that it too had been cancelled because "the doctor would not be in". So I went and had my records transferred to a different doctor. The staff was very friendly and apologized for what had happened. Apparently I was not the only one that this has happened to, which is just ridiculous and unprofessional.

Dr. Lile is sorry excuse for a doctor he's going to give all doctors a bad name in that office! He rushes in and out of rooms. The way he talks to his MA's left me speechless! I wouldn't even treat my worse enemy the way he treats his MA's!!! He's rude and won't let you get a word in and if you do he's cutting you off like what you have to say is not important. I was there one day for an annual and over heard him talking about another patient and how she was " discusting ". I wouldn't refer him to my worst enemy!!!

He was one of the best doctors that I have ever had. I was 30 weeks pregnant when I first met him due to us moving. He made me feel at ease and I had to have an emergency c section and he left a fundraiser that he was working to do the c section on a Sunday night at 8pm.

Dr.Lile is the rudest i have ever seen,and rushes in and rushes out.He told me i had to have surgery and didnt tell me what kind,Jenna the surgery schedulor is the the one that told me i had to have a TAH/BSO,i went for a second opinion and found out i didnt need that surgery at all.Thank God for second opinions.If i could give no star at all for Lile i would,and no i do not recommended him.

I switched to Dr Lile in the middle of my first pregnancy and I was happy with him except for a few little things. I had severe sciatic nerve pain, and he brushed it off and told me I could get a massage (and pay for it out of pocket) two years after the birth is was still suffering and decided to go see a chiropractor. Turns out I have a herniated disk and my insurance DOES cover massage. I'm pregnant again and have had painful contractions since 6 weeks and then bleeding. Three visits to the ER (where ultrasound confirmed a thriving fetus) and Dr. Lile still wouldn't see me until 9 weeks. By that point I'd developed a subchoronic hematoma under the placenta. I realize miscarriage is common and there is nothing that can be done to prevent it, but I can't help but feel like I should have been seen at 6 weeks and put on progesterone supplements in an attempt to settle my uterus. Even now when the contractions get intense and I start bleeding again, the office just tells me to take… some Tylenol. I don't think Dr. Lile is a bad or incompetent OB, but he definitely takes a very hands off approach. To some extent I totally get that, women have been having babies for thousands of years and our bodies know how to do it. But I'm also scared, in tons of pain, and I don't feel like I have gotten the care that I should have.
