Dr. William Ricardo Montiel, MD

After a ten minute lecture on why I needed to go vegan, Montiel said he was going to put me on a pain patch and a sleeping pill. He never asked me what worked for me, nor did he go over my symptoms before saying what he was writing me. When I explained to him that I couldn't afford the pain patch and didn't need anything for sleep, he got angry with me and asked, "Well what do you want me to do for you?" I told him my GP sent me over because she could no longer write my Norco script due to new state regulations, and he said, "I'm not giving you Norco. I'll give you Tylenol 4 instead." The Tylenol 4 made me sick. When I called to explain this to him, I was told that he wasn't going to write me anything else. I've been on Norco for four years, with no issues. This man doesn't care about what works, only that he can fill a quota for pain patches and sleeping pills. Stay away.

I am new at his office and the Staff is so cool like family. The Dr. is so humble he really take time out with you . I had a chance to tell them a lot about me as a person and my pain level in my Back and Bladder he was very concerned. He's a keeper for me Thank God.

One of the best doctors I've gone to. The wait is long but they warned me of this on my first visit. He takes time with his patients. He doesn't just run in and out. His whole staff has been good to me and I love his nurse.

I have been seeing Dr. Montiel for over a year now. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone seeking legitimate pain management.

I think the Attorney General should take a close look at this doctor! It doesn't matter how many times a patient fails a drug test, he will still give them meds. Doesn't listen to concerned family members who continuously warn him of patient's condition. Will not even call you back to listen to your concerns!! Just has your family member come in for more "office visits" and more MONEY!!

He doesn't listen to anything you say. He has his mind made up in advance. All he wants is to give you the thousand dollar shot per visit. His staff is okay but I have had better. His biggest issue is his "God" complex.

This doctor can no longer prescribe schedule 2 medication because the Alabama License Commission has revoked his license. He did not follow their procedures and allowed patients to doctor hop. He was not honest with me and I had been seeing him for 2 years.

Dr. Momteil and his staff are very patient with you, they take there time with you to understand how they can help you. You are normally in and out at a good pace.

Dr was amazing from the very start. He listened to me and explained everything. He makes you feel like your his only patient when you are there. He does not rush you so a little waiting might happen but it is so worth it. I would recommend him to everyone with chronic pain and or addiction issue . Best doctor I have ever been to
