Dr. William Lee Moore, MD

Told me it was time to night wean my one year old son because milk is bad for their teeth. I disagreed because I don't believe in forced weaning. It is up to my son when he wants to wean, including at night. And I would never deny him the breast. Dr. Moore also didn't support co-sleeping. He did say that it was our choice on how to parent are raise our child, but I need a physician that can help guide me through long-term breastfeeding, etc. He pretty much told me that I should sleep train him, which I do not endorse as well. So basically we just have very different beliefs regarding child-rearing. So if you think that at the one year mark it is time for your child to be sleeping through the night without feedings or nursing, and if you are okay with sleep training, then this is the pediatrician for you. Once he knew we had different philosophies he was much less friendly and helpful the subsequent visits and frequently talked down to me. I am currently looking for a new pediatrician.
