Dr. William Harrison Moore, MD

Initially I thought Dr William Harrison Moore was going to be a good choice as my new GYN. I'd gone in for bladder prolapse. After having the surgery, he'd told me that he'd performed bladder sling, anterior and posterior prolapse surgery. After a couple weeks I was having trouble with the perineum, which he'd cut through in order to get into the venue more easily. I complained about pain several times and he told me that other patients say it takes about 4 to 6 months for things to settle down. So I waited. Still having discomfort & not being able to have sex without pain & tearing of the perineum after 8 months I went back. He refused to see the problem & suggested a brutal biopsy procedure (3 places), which took me another 2 months to recover. He told me that he believed I had a disease, incurable, but treatable. When the biopsies came back, as I knew, they were negative, except for chronic inflammation, which YES, because the perineum wasn't seen back correctly, and as a… result wiping, attempts at sex, drying off after bathing, all pulled & otherwise irritated my perineum! He still wouldn't acknowledge it. He prescribed steroid product to use for 8 weeks and then go back again. This worried me & I began to think that he wouldn't acknowledge it because he couldn't fix it. I was DONE! Stressed, I asked my GP to refer me to a specialist for this. I finally go to Birmingham, and that doctor saw IMMEDIATELY what the problem was & also stated that she could see no reason why he would have done the biopsies as I show no signs of any disease. So now I'm having to pay MORE MONEY, GO THROUGH MORE PAIN & RECOVERY, & I'M NOT HAPPY! The Birmingham doctor has performed TWO procedures to fix what Dr. Moore did to me and I've spent over two years recovering! I should have never finished paying for anything related to my care through him, or the biopsies procedure. He might be good for baby deliveries, but women, PLEASE heed my warning about surgery by him, and go to someone else. And if he cuts your perineum for your baby's delivery, be warned!

He is a very wonderful doctor, break down all the information that you need to know the way you can understand it, and he been my doctor for a year now and wouldn't take any other doctor

I went to 9 doctors for I found Dr. Moore. For my issue, I had search from here to state wide. There are only 3 doctors in the state that’s specialized in my disorder. I prayed and researched, his name kept hitting me in the face. I took it as a sign from God to go to him. I thank God, for directing me to this wonderful man. He told me I wasn’t crazy, and the problems I had were real. He listened and I cried! He basically has saved my life. I told him God sent me to him. And what a blessing he is. I only wish I could use him as a primary doctor. I have never met a better physician. I would recommend him to anyone!

I was a patient of Dr. Moore in 2010. I was referred to him by my primary because I needed a hysterectomy. Dr. Moore explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and eased any concerns I had. When I got home from surgery on the 4 th day I had a blood clot go to my lung. My primary doctor sent me to hospital, while I was in emergency room Dr.Moore showed up and explained to me everything to expect. I was admitted to the hospital (in a different county) from where Dr. Moore practiced. He was more informative to me than the actual doctors at the hospital. He went above and beyond in my opinion and I have and will continue to refer him to others! Wish there were more doctors like him!!!

Dr. Moore is a very compassionate doctor. He takes all the time you need to discuss your problem. After checking me he talked to myself and and husband and told us what he was going to do. I was diagnosis with cancer. He followed up with procedures and by the time I got home his staff had an appointment in B/ham with a surgeon. If not for his quick diagnosis it might not have turned out so well.

He is an amazing doctor. He delivered my son almost 16 years ago and has performed several surgeries on me. I too drive from Montgomery to see him in Alex City...He is a one of a kind MD and I will follow him no matter where he goes. His staff is very kind and nice people. I love Dr. Moore and would recommend him to any female

Dr. Moore is an amazing doctor. He takes plenty of time to answers patient questions and is always available by telephone or has his nurse available.

I have very often Thanked God for Dr. Moore! Back in 2005 we were here in Millbrook at a friend's house and my wife required an emergency surgery. In the ambulance we were praying that THE LORD would give us the right doctor. HE MOST CERTAINLY ANSWERED THAT PRAYER! Today, 23jan2014, we are able to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary due in large part to this wonderful Dr. Moore! He performed 3 surgeries on my wife's reproductive system that night 9 years ago and saved her life, GLORY TO GOD! Dr. Moore did not even charge us a professional fee and his prayers were answered that thehoital there made our account balance a zero! AGAIN, MAY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST RICHLY BLESS THIS GOOD DOCTOR WITH PEACE AND HAPPINESS!

Dr. Moore is a Dr. I will always be greatful to Dr. Moore because at a time in my life when I had given up on ever have a normal (dry) life. I was a 39 year old woman wearing diaper because I had a hole in my bladder that I had been living with for almost three years. A friend of mine mom went to see him for a problem she was having so her daughter ask him could a bladder be repaired and he said yes; I made an appointment and after a few examinations he preformed the surgery and today I no longer have a hole in my bladder. He was my miracle doctor.
