Dr. William Irwin Parker, MD

I wasn't impressed! Dr. Parker has a very bad bed side manners! He's walks in without a smile and is so arrogant!!!

I did not see Dr. Parker in a clinic as it was an Emergency Room visit. There were no other patients so Promptness and Ease of Appt were high. The nurses & receptionist we dealt with were very helpful and nice...moreso than Dr. Parker. He did not introduce himself to me or my child (who was being seen for a severe earache) nor was he wearing anything that might indicate he was a doctor...just scrubs like everyone else. He looked at my child's ears once, mumbled it was an ear infection & tried to exit the room but was stopped because I had questions. He seemed annoyed at my questions & didn't give clear answers. He was also very quiet and hard to hear even though we were in the same small room. I would never recommend him as a family doctor and would prefer not to have to deal with him even on an emergency basis.

As Dr. Parker practices in the Emergency Department, I have no basis to rate him on the "ease in getting an appointment," or "courtesy and professionalism of office staff," though on all other aspects, Dr. Parker performed very poorly or not at all. My symptoms were misdiagnosed (according to followup with a doctor at another hospital), he barely spent time with me even after I'd waited close to four hours before seeing a doctor (the ED was -not- busy when I was in, and even then, a wooden fencepost would have better bedside manner than Dr. Parker.
