He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty training at John Stroger/Cook County Hospital in 2004 and a one-year oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Cook County Hospital in 2000. He is also a graduate of North Carolina State University and the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Perkinson is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is board certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
