Dr. William Francis Pierson, MD

I am a psychiatric / adult health Nurse Practitioner. I also have hereditary depression and ADHD, depression which requires life time medications so I see psychiatrist for medication. It is illegal to write prescriptions for yourself. Recently moving to Washington I went to Overlake Psychiatric Out Patient to establish a M.D. First, I saw Dr. Advila who on the first visit said to me after I started talking about what had been going on with me "--------" is there a point to this, I do not do therapy, just medication." What kind of psychiatrist states to a patient who is talking "is there a point to this?" Saw him 2 to 3 times then he went to work inpatient. Saw Dr. Pearson who on the second visit was very rude to me. I asked to try a ADHD medication. Even though diagnosed multiple times before, had school accommodation's for ADHD and successfully sued a previous hospital I worked for because a supervisor's abuse and harassment for ADHD and (have struggled with this all my life) he said… "well I do not know if you have it and you could have gone to any fly by night person who would give you medication for ADHD. Well, I went to the president of the psychiatric association back then and I was not on medication, just asking for school accommodations. It was not so much what he did but said. He could have said. I have only seen you twice so I would like to get to know you better first or something like that. I could have accepted such. Instead he acted like I was a drug seeker abusing drugs. My last two ARNP jobs I work and ran a pain clinic where I had to check patients to make sure there is not drug abuse. You never accuse a patient without true knowledge. You check urine and there are a couple of other routine procedures u do to rule this out. Finally he did give me two scripts for medication, I picked up one but it did not work for me which can happen but I stopped taking it and did not even pick up the last script. This proves I am not a drug abuser. I was highly insulted, he was very unprofessional and to top it off when I called to try and change psychiatrist they would not let me, it is not their policy. He also said something rude to me when I left. Well if they let you talk a little about yourself not just give symptoms perhaps they would have known my background and not be so rude. I highly caution seeing this psychiatrist. If he treated me a co - medical professional this way how is he treating none medical persons? ? Honestly the worst bedside manner. He was extremely defensive and would not discuss other options and very judgmental.

I went to this guy for help, this guy was judgmental, assuming things about my personality, completely unperceptive to my concerns - would have ruined my life had I continued to see him. Prescribed me a drug that gave me negative side effects, and his suggestion was to keep taking drugs that make me sick. Don't go to this guy for help, he'll just give you the run around.
