Dr. William Mark Steinberg, MD

I've had terrible bloating for years. Dr Steinberg didn't offer ideas how to help me except to recommend a colonoscopy and to take over the counter Prilosec everyday. (I had colonoscopy years ago with no problems but bloating continued to get worse). I went to another GI the following week and was diagnosed with SIBO through a breath test. Ive improved greatly with a treatment and ongoing care. Also, something I thought was odd. I was dealing with lower back nerve pain during my appointment which becomes worse if I sit for a long without support. By the time Dr Steinberg came into the exam room, I was laying down on the patient bed instead of sitting up. As he walked in he said "sit up". As I was sitting up, I mention I was taking a break from back pain. He said , you look Too Comfortable, get up. I could be wrong, but he seemed annoyed. I had intended to sit up so we could talk eye to eye, but the way he said it didn't seem caring. Maybe he was just having a bad day or I… misunderstood the tone, but worth sharing.

terrible wait for any telephone response. 2 month wait for appt . Haven't seen Doc yet....
