Dr. Theus started the practice in February 1995 with an intense desire to develop a high quality surgical department at Gordon Hospital. Dr. Theus is a board-certified general surgeon. He is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, and The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his internship and residency at Caraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Theus is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress.  As a General Surgeon Dr. Theus  focuses on abdominal surgeries he specializes in the treatment of gallbladder disease, appendectomy, hernia repairs, thyroid disorders, breast disorders, colonoscopies, EGD’s, and skin lesion.
