Dr. William Frederick Thompson

He basically called me a liar because I told him he did not return my calls so I could have him look at my shoulder. I went on to tell him I had a cortisone shot in that shoulder that another Doctor gave me for the pain when i could not get in to see him. He said I lied because I could have gotten in to see him. He said he would not treat me as He knew I would not follow directions and LIED for me to go get out of his office. It made me cry and he was very abusive. I have worked for over 40 years in medical settings as a RRT. NEVER had I been sassed and treated like this by a doctor. He has no right to be this abusive.He told me records all his conversations on a small hand held recorder and I would not be able to lie about anything he said. I went out of his office crying and his staff looked like they were upset too. My husband was out in the waiting area outside his office and he could hear the loud yelling but not make out what DR. actually said. To this day I am still hurt by… this treatment.

I had both knees replaced by Dr Thompson and both surgeries went excellent.

I have now seen Dr.,Thompson for two,separate issuer. I saw home a year ago after breaking a wrist, and recently for an arthritic hip. In both situations, he displayed genuine empathy and offered several suggestions for treatment and comfort. ,felt he listened to me thoroughly before making decisions, taking my thoughts and feelings in consideration of treatment plans. I would not hesitate to return.

Dr. Thompson took X-rays of my knee. Came in about 20 minutes later and told me I have a stress fracture and I can't participate in any athletics for 10-12 weeks. He did not bring in the X-ray to show me the stress fracture. He didn't say "because of this activity, the bone wore down ect. He never told me how to heal it, (ice, anti- inflammatory, physical therapy)This was upsetting because it meant I would miss the first 3 football games of the season. So my dad confirmed, "nothing for 10-12 weeks?" Thompson shot back a reply of "you heard what I said." We decided to see another doctor, he looked at the X-rays and told me their was no stress fracture. Just tendontits.

This is what I was told when I informed the doctor of nerve pain that arose after arthroscopic surgery.

Would not recommend this doctor. Very poor bedside manner.
