never saw me after he did my back fusion in the hospital ,he never saw me for one follow up visit in over one year and I am totally disabled when in I was told return to work in 4 to 6 months when he was recommended to me

he saved my life so to speak, gave me the use of my leg by removing a tumor from my lower spine - fused lower spine and neck a year later, a debt of gratitude the to man.

HE RUINED MY NECK IN 2007 !!!!!!

this surgeon ruined my life. he told me 4 to 6 months recovery after a multi level fusion in 2009 and its 2015 and pain is worse each day and I am permanently disabled from this surgery. not to mention one other person he fused and she cant stand upright. he never saw me after surgery in hospital or for over a year of office visits

I had a Lumbar Laminectomy L-4-L-5 to relieve severe sciatic pain radiating down left leg to foot. He said he could do a decompression to relieve the pain. This was close to 4 yrs ago. After surgery I kept going back to his office to let him know I was in 10x more pain than before surgery. He would send in his P.A. to see me. After 4 weeks of going to see him, he still keep sending in his PA. He had not even spoke to me at anytime postop. I instant that I speak with him. He finally come into the room and was very rude to me, wondering why I keep asking for him. He finally ordered a post-op MRI. When I went back to see him again he had his PA put the film up for viewing. She just looked at it and said nothing was wrong and that she had assisted him during surgery and told me he did a good job of decompressing the nerve that was compressed. I have been in constant pain since then. He then discharged me as a patient and sent me to Pain Management. Now after a review by a… Neurosurgeon, I find out that he had operated on the wrong side. He did surgery on the right side, not the left. The neurosurgeon saw the problem right away. He ask me why did not Dr. Urban try to at least correct my sever pain. I told him that he had dismissed me -saying I will feel better in time and to stop complaining. I am so upset. I have lost so much time from work and have suffered more than I can discribe. This man has no right to be practice any kind of medicine.

I had spinal fusion and was convinced by him that i would recover and return to work on light duty in six months.Never saw him after day of surgery including one year of follow up visits and was unable to return to work.I was found totally disabled by workmans comp. commission and am living on social security disability. I have had nothing but pain and misery since surgery including permanent nerve damage,urologic problems and have to see pain mgmt.doctor and psychiatrist for rest of my life,

Dr Urban is uncaring, rude and extremely ARROGANT. He was unable to diagnos my issue probably because he only spent about 2 mintues with me. It should be noted that the second surgeon I met fixed me in no time. I would not trust my health to this guy. Terrible.

I regret having to rate in this manner but the lack of concern after surgery, seeing a physician's assistant instead of the doctor when you have been sent for a test and have x-rays in hand and the physician's assistant CANNOT interpret the x-rays and you are given NO FOLLOW-UP appointment to have the x-rays interpreted. What is a patient supposed to do. When you call the office to leave a message or ask for a prescription. Doctors/staff claim they didn't get the message?? They can only write prescriptions on a certain day of the week. Let's put it this way. When you are in so much pain and no one to help you, what do you do? You want to go to another doctor, right? Well this office won't even give you your own records to take with you. I believe this is outrageous. Word of mouth goes a long way and word of mouth from other patients tell you NOT to go here in the first place. Doesn't matter how good you THINK you are, patients are human beings and need to be treated… respectfully and with dignity. Something you DO NOT get here.

Dr. Urban performed emergency surgery on my father. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He exudes confidence and is very intelligent. I would recommend Dr. Urban to anyone in need of Orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Urban performed back surgery on me in 2006. He is a very skilled surgeon, with a very good follow up. His Assistant at the office was very nice and all of the staff is very helpful.
