Dr. William Robert Vanscoy, DO

The only gripe I had was that he was a little rushed the first day we saw him. I found out later there was an emergency going on around the time of my daughter's first appointment. Since then, it's been great. He seems to always be on time or a little early. He is kind and explains treatment options well.

My daughter, while living with her biological mother, was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 8 years of age and prescribed Abilify, Concerta, Vyvance, and another med that I can't remember by Dr. Vanscoy. When we took custody, she was evaluated by a doctor of our choice and removed from ALL medications by the new doctors. They told us that she had NO symptoms or markers for any of the diagnoses that were on record, and he diagnosed her with schizophrenia based SOLELY on the bio-mom's statement that the father and grandfather suffered from schizophrenia, which is an outright lie that the doctor FAILED to verify. My daughter told me that the doctor never spoke to her, only to her mother. This man is a quack, and will prescribe whatever you ask for without reason or verification. This is a GARBAGE practice. When we called the office out on it, their response was "Just don't give it to her, then." What the heck?????
