Dr. William Keith Wainscott, MD

I have an unknown ear condition (won't go into details) that has led me to see many ENTs over the years. While the others have at least tried to diagnose me and get to the root of my problems, Wainscott dismissed it as "nothing" and told me to come back when I have problems again. I was in pain, and he said it was unimportant! I have been very disappointed with his inattentiveness to my situation and wouldn't recommend him.

I have never been to a Dr. Who has been in such a hurry, recommended me to 3 other kinds of Dr's., and told me there is nothing wrong when my head is full of crud. What a waste of my time and money.

I have brought my 2 1/2 daughter on twice to see Dr. Wainscott. I brought her in on the first visit because of loud snoring. He informed me that the problem was probably due to her adenoids, which I suspected. He also stated that she had some retraction in her left ear. That concerned me so I brought her back to have a tympanogram performed and he seemed upset because I suggested it. The tympongram proved that there was fluid in her opposed to him looking into the ear. He contradicted himself many times, by stating that the ear was not where it should be and then stating that is fine. He even walked out saying I could get a second opinion. He mentioned quite a few times that "YOU" wanted the tympanogram done. I did not suggest it. I am glad I got it done because I know now that there is fluid behind her ear. In addition, he recommended doing surgery on her adenoids without even xraying them first to truly SEE if they are enlarged! I wish I had seen Dr. Studtman again, I… could not remember his name and that's how I ended up with Wainscott. DO NOT TAKE YOUR YOUNG CHILD TO SEE HIM!
