Dr. William Allen Whitten, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Whitten since he was at the office on woodruff road. He is a true professional healthcare provider who I trust with my life. I have never had a provider like Dr. Whitten before. He's a very wonderful and brilliant human being who doesn't discriminate against people of color. Keep up the good work Doc.

well 8 days ago I was dc'ed from his practice, I was coming in for labs and wanted to pick up my appetite suppresant while there, front end told DR I wanted pain meds and he already referred me to pain mg and thought I was drug seeking, would not hear any defense from me and dropped me from his practice, I am 62 and fear I have shingles and now this on my record..shame on all of them

I needed preventative care, I called Horizons Diagnostics, LLC where I got an appointment next day w/Dr. Whitten. I informed Whitten Iâ??m here for preventative care only as all preventative care is covered by my insurance. Whitten assured me all care is preventative. I received a bill several months later for over $ 300.00. I contacted Horizons Director Ms. Debbie Herring regarding this matter via email, US mail and phone calls. Herring did not return email or phone calls. I did some research and discovered Whitten graduated from the American University of the Caribbean, the last chance University for students rejected by US medical schools. He also failed at private practice. Based upon my experience and research, Iâ??ve concluded Whitten is a Quack and Horizons Diagnostics, LLC has a poor customer service culture. Practice Director did not respond to email, US mail and phone calls. Medical staff and billing staff are poorly trained and nonresponsive.

I stumbled upon these reviews when looking up the phone # and am flabbergasted at the negative comments. I have been a patient of Dr. Whitten's for years. He has a jovial disposition and has always taken up time with me and listened. Never has he cut me short or not listened.. If he isn't available, Michelle Ernst, his Physician Asst. is awesome ! She is sweet and kind and funny... and knows her stuff. I completely trust both of them and have had nothing but excellent service with all the staff and Dr"s. I definitely couldn't ask for anyone else to give me the care and concern I have gotten there. All calls are promptly returned.. I can't find one thing wrong with any of them. I find it odd that anyone doesn't fit in there. I've recommended many patients to him and will continue to do so. They have all been very pleased.

Dr. Whitten is one of the most professional doctors. My entire family goes to him. In emergency situations he has always taken the time to check on us. He offers his honest opinions which are always professional. We have always been able to see him when needed. He listens to us at every appointment. We have been going to him for over 14 years. Some how his nurses are always changing. Anna has always been very unprofessional. You never have to sit in the waiting room for Dr. Whitten. He runs on schedule or close to it!!!

I came in to the office with clear instructions that I wanted documents sent to him from another hospital. A week later I followed up and asked what the status was. Just like every time before, they have to call me back and this time verified the complete opposite of what I asked for. I do not appreciate Dr. Whitten's demeanor when I ask questions. Clearly he wants me out of his exam room.

The worst "doctor" I have ever been to. He acts like he could care less about you or your health. His "nurse" Anna is very unprofessional and should not be allowed to interact with other human beings! Whitten never looked at my chart from my previous doctor but was glad to write out perscriptions stating "don't get me in trouble". After 3 years of getting my medications I got dropped within a month for getting into a verbal altercation with Anna for doing what the front desk girl told me do,to wait for Anna in the lobby for my refill,and then she told me off for waiting for her!!I would not send my pet turtle to him!!!!

Spends very little time with me. He seems to always be in a rush. Does not give accurate diagnosis when I was given x-ray results. Left off a major issue in which I could have died. When I tried to be "worked in" for an emergency, he just wanted to send me to the hospital ER where I would wait for hours! I am NOT impressed. He is also disrespectful to his staff, not thinking we can hear him talking to them. Also, he is a sexist (I guess he doesn't realize we can hear him make his comments also). If you want a professional, don't go to him!!!
