Dr. William Ross Winter, MD

After meeting with multiple psychiatrists, I had very unpleasant experiences as the professionals didn’t show they really cared for my well being and solely operating their business just for the money. I was a bit skeptical reaching out to Dr Winter due to my past experiences with these psychiatrists but thought it couldn’t hurt to try and give it one last try. After leaving a VM, Dr Winter called me from his personal cell phone after his last session of the day and wanted to make sure I was okay and asked me what problems I’m dealing with/symptoms. Once I explained my issues I have been dealing with he immediately scheduled an appt for a consultation a couple days later. Just to cut it short I have been seeing Dr Winter for 8 months or so and made an extreme impact on my anxiety/depression. During sessions, the Dr. would train me to cope with my anxiety through various methods such as breathing exercises, and help me with my fear of public speaking which I used to get panic… attacks from although at this point I’m doing much better. I just want to make it clear that Dr Winter helped change my life and I’m extremely grateful. So if your looking for a Dr who really cares and wants you to get better Dr Winter is definitely your best bet from my experiences.

I have seen Dr. Winter since 2013. He has always been respectful, wise, empathetic and earnest in ways that at least four other psychiatrists I had seen in New York City were not. I am grateful to have experienced his professional guidance with anxiety and depression and have made good progress in moving away from symptoms. Recently, I experienced an urgent situation and telephoned him. He was boarding a plane, but returned my call as soon as he was able to, making calls to other providers to ensure the problem was quickly resolved. He has never interrupted me. I find him conversational and appreciate that he has a sense of humor.

Saw him with my family today for the first time. Put us all at ease. Warm disposition. Kind. Bright. Really helped us and looking forward to working with him.

I love Dr. Winter. He has really really helped me with my ADHD- something other doctors were never able to do. He's always been available when I needed him most. He has a warm bedside manner, is compassionate and caring. Highly recommend!

I told this guy I have PTSD, he agreed with me and told me to 'get over it.' He makes me extremely uncomfortable and I would not reccomend him to my worst enemy.

Dr. Winter has been seeing my son for the last 6 months. He is seeing my husband as well. We have found him to be accessible, consistent, kind and attentive. Top notch.
