Dr. William Charles Winters, MD

I have seen and known Dr. William Winters for over 10 years, as I suffer from PTSD recurrent. My take on Dr. Winters is that he is an incredible Chemist and has a perfect perception on what works best for the patient. He listens, and lets you be a partner in your well being. Dr. Winters is able to get at the root of the issue. He is kind, intuitive and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has an tough issue that is seeking a professional. Any rating less than 5, I question. He's just that good.

People change. Times change and our doctors change. When we first became patient /doctor we were all much younger. I still see this doctor. He understands my needs and is very savvy with the medicine end of the relationship. After all, a psychiatrist is less for talking about your childhood on a couch and more like keeping your body and mind in balance. As years have passed his practice has a more chill vibe. He likes island shirts. He is a good person whom I really glad to still have on my medical team.

Dr. Winter and I had a muatly respective relationship for many years. Recently I brought up a paper my daughter, a radiation oncologist, published her first paper. All of a sudden he began to discuss male erections. Next he went on to tell me the "2 " finger rule ob/gyn drs. Use on how tight a woman should be seen up after an episiotomy. Very unproffessioal.

Dr. Winters and his wife are both amazing people and physicians. They are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Dr. Winters has really helped my illness not be in control of me. I appreciate him helping me to understand that mental illness is an illness and not just my personality or my choice.

I couldn't believe it when I went to this doctor and saw a sign (like something you'd see at an all-u-can-eat buffet in large flashing red letters) that lets everyone know that you are pulling into the parking lot of a psychiatrists' office. There is stigma attached to mental illness, and for this doctor to have an embarrassing, tasteless, classless, sign I was horrified. It was all I could do not to turn my car around and drive away. The receptionist was extremely rude and dressed inappropriately for a physicians office. I found the doctor to be just as offensive as the sign flashing in front of the building. I won't be returning to this doctor. The amount charged was also astronomical. No wonder there weren't any other patients in the waiting room. They must have learned the hard way not to continue to go to this practice.
