Dr. William Patrick Zeller, MD

Had a very unpleasant interaction with Dr. Zeller. We were optimistic about our visit, hearing all good things. Our first clue should have been how he greeted us. He asked how it’s been going, making it seem like we were there for a followup. I had to inform him that my daughter was a new patient. Then he treated my 11 y.o. daughter like she wasn’t in the room, calling her “honey” when he did address her (not good, ever). Most significant is that he didn’t listen to the whole picture. Completely ignored the many symptoms she has, saying none of them were caused by hypothyroidism (she has a high TSH and low T4), and ignored my own personal experience with Hashimotos (when it appeared in me 25 years ago, I had all of the symptoms she has - interestingly I was also initially misdiagnosed because my bloodwork was completely normal until much later, after symptoms were even worse). He had no interest in finding out why her labs are abnormal. He said her thyroid was slightly enlarged, but… didn’t order an ultrasound to look into it further, which he said is how they test for goiter. When I asked why her labs were abnormal and her thyroid was enlarged, he said it was nonthyroidal. End of story. So...how to we help our daughter to get better? “That’s my diagnosis.” Seriously? We are on the hunt for a better physician and human being, one who will actually care to find out why our daughter is suffering and pay attention to the actual data and symptoms present. Maybe he’s great with other disorders, but don’t bother with him if you suspect Hashimotos.

All this dr wants is money. He recently started to charge us more money and treat us poorly. Not a good dr at all, doesn’t even look at you when you speak. Look elsewhere you will be way happier.

Said my daughter was fine, but she has hashimoto's thyroiditis. Said she didn't need anything now and wait...but it progressed to Lupus. Now that we have been treating her naturally, she is in remission with Lupus and eating a sugar free, gluten free, organic diet and doing great! No thanks to Dr. Zeller who took less than 10 minutes to talk to us. She is also on natural thyroid hormone, which has changed her life with added energy, enthusiasm and has wiped out her fatique

I've been seeing Dr. Zeller for over 15 years and have found him to be excellent. Knowledgeable and compassionate.

Ultra sound guy is terrible. We waited an hour and he rushed through the scan and my daughter said it burned her ... Blood work was supposed to be sent to the LAB and it wasn't so my daughter and I had to wait over an hour to get that sent and when it was we did not receive specific instructions and now have to do more tests at a another time... VERY FRUSTRATED!!! Looking for a new doctor AND know that their office in Naperville is closed.

Best endocrinologist ever! I rest assured knowing my children are under Dr. Zeller's care. If you have the opportunity to choose him... do!!

Dr. Zeller is the most caring doctor I have ever delt with. Dr. Zeller listens to all of my concerns and never appears to be in a hurry. If I had a choice of any Endocrinologist I wanted for my son it would be Dr. Zeller. I am amazed at Dr. Zeller's knowledge in diabetes.

Dr. Zeller is a wonderful doctor, who has the experence and bed side mannor some doctors have forgotten. He is always learning the new ways of helping his paitents and I am lucky to have found him!! HIghly recommeded from someone who has delt with alot of awful doctor's who thought they were "god"

Dr. Zeller is good doctor -- up to date on clinical trials and technology, but his office is poorly run. If you can put up with the inconvenience of his office, he is worth seeing. The practice has gotten so big -- that he lost control...
