Dr. Wilma Castro, MD

Her wait times were atrocious. There were several visits that we waited over three hours in the lobby, and then another hour in the office before we ever saw anybody. She also cancelled some of our appointments just as soon as we arrived. She requires her patients to give a 24-hour notice, it'd be nice if she showed us the same courtesy. Her staff was equally awful, especially her receptionist. I stood at her window for twenty minutes watching her clean her fingernails before she finally noticed I was standing there. I absolutely would not recommend her to anyone ~ not even my worst enemy. If it were possible to rate her with 0 stars or lower, I would. She has wasted so much of my time and money, and it's all been for nothing.

Dr. Castro was great with me! I went through a scary time with complicated migraines and had been to the ER and admitted and released after one neurologist just said it was "all in your head". Two weeks later I ended up right back int he same hospital with all of the same problems. Dr. Castro asked the admitting Dr. to keep me a while so that she could perform some tests to find the problem. I remained in the hospital for 8 days all of which she came in and sat with me no less than 20 minutes and talked with me, explained our progress and what would come next (I was terrified!). Once released, she continued to followup in her office and because I had no insurance, they were very understanding and worked with me. I know that she was sent my way at that time!!! I have to say, these some 3-4 years later and now living away that she hit the nail on the head with my diagnosis. Thank you, Dr. Castro and Staff!!!

She did not introduce herself, we had to look her up in the physician's directory to figure out who she was. she tried to force my grandmother to switch hospitals, tried to intimidate her into a nursing home. She was the attending neurologist while my grandmother was in the hospital for a non-neurological problem. She is NOT my grandmother's normal neurologist. And she started trying to switch her prescriptions for no reason. She meets my grandmother for five seconds and tries to undo all the hard work her regular neurologist did. I hope Kings Daughters gets rid of her.
