Dr. Dubnov's counseling approach helped reconstitute my marriage and taught me how to become my own counselor. He was very direct and honest. I will be eternally grateful.

He was very aggressive and narcissistic. He kept talking about a "unique" method that only he knows. This method included him doing most of the talking in the first few sessions and telling me that I needed to keep our conversations private. He told me I shouldn't share what we work on with those that are closest to me. It felt like he was using classic tactics to isolate me and make me dependent on him. He was very pushy and condescending. When he found out that I was also going to a therapist with my husband for marriage counseling, he said he could no longer work with me unless I stopped seeing her. It has been recommended that you use different therapists for your individual therapy and marriage counseling. I was shocked and told him that I felt that it was benefiting my marriage to go to this other therapist. Even though we had never talked about my husband, he said that my marriage will not last and that I'd be crawling back to him if I don't listen to him now. He said that the… other therapist will contradict his advice since she'll be trying to improve my marriage, and it's because she doesn't know his "unique method". He said my husband is a "pit" person (and so am I), and if I want to become a "mountain" person like him then I need to leave my husband and follow his method of therapy to achieve that. These are all terms from his own brand of brainwashing. It felt manipulative and extremely unhealthy. I can't imagine that damage he has done to the clients he has worked with.

Dr. Dubnov is the ONLY counselor I have ever seen, who has ever helped me. His goal is to empower each and every person to become a whole and happy person. He has shown me how to change my life and there are not enough words to express my gratitude. I highly recommend him as a counselor.
