Dr Wonsuk W. Suh, MD

I first met Dr. Suh on a referral after receiving a diagnosis of prostate cancer. The referral was from a surgeon who wanted me to hear what my other option was, specifically radiation. Dr. Suh spent an hour with my wife and I explaining the radiation treatment, the process and the expected outcomes. He concluded by recommending the surgery and clearly explained why. The surgeon was well regarded and in his prime and that doing radiation first would so damage the prostate that surgery would be next to impossible. I greatly appreciated his straight forward presentation and clarity of explanation. 2 years post-surgery found my PSA starting to elevate and on the advice of the surgeon, I contacted Dr. Suh who immediately saw me and set up a radiation treatment schedule. It has been 1 year since completing the treatment and my follow ups with Dr. Suh have continued to show an absence of the cancer. He has been terrific to deal with (including his nurses/technicians), very… professional, personable and easy to talk with. I am very fortunate to have found him and it has been well worth the commute to Santa Barbara from my home in San Luis Obispo for his treatment, follow-ups and advice.

Fifteen years after my prostate gland was removed via robotic surgery by another surgeon, my PSA level had risen again to 3.6. Dr. Suh designed a targeted radiation program with a shaped radiation beam that irradiated the target area from various angles that avoided any collateral tissue damage. Three years post treatment my cancer is undetectable and I have ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLICATIONS. Thank you Dr. Suh!

I had my cancerous prostate removed in 2022. Unfortunately some of the cancerous cells had escaped the prostate, and post-surgery my PSA levels began to creep up. In 2024 I was advised to have a course of radiation and hormone therapy. Dr. Suh facilitated my radiation treatment. From the start, I found Dr Suh personable, clear, unhurried, knowledgable, and caring. He also has a sense of humor, which I find refreshing. He answers all my questions candidly, and I trust his expertise. I have now been cancer free for more than a year--thank you, Dr Suh!

Truly the most caring, effective, personable, focused, and appreciated physician and personage I've ever encountered. His management of his great team and my prostate cancer case has yielded a clean slate via my recent MRI after two and a half years. I can accurately report that Dr. Suh saved my life, and to say that I am grateful is putting it embarrassingly much too mildly. He is diligently following my case and recommending serious attention to risings in my PSA, which is still below the range of concern. A great Doctor. The Best. Highly recommended. Dr. Suh and his staff treated me for laryngeal cancer beginning in November, 2023. Not only was I treated with warmth, patience and courtesy, but my outcome two years later could not have been better. I literally owe them my life.
