Dr. Xiaomang Ba Stickles, MD

I had precancerous cells in my cervix. I picked this dr because she was so self assured and made me feel comfortable with everything I was going through. I believe she was the right choice for my initial surgery. However, afterwards when my periods were so painful that I couldn’t go to work or even leave my bed, she told me to take ibuprofen and that it had nothing to do with my surgery. I switched oncologists because of this, and they immediately determined that my body had built up scar tissue, and that was causing my severe pain. They now break that scar tissue when I’m in office every 6 months for routine biopsy’s. And I’m able to live my life while on my period. It’s apparently not uncommon and should have been caught by this office, and wasn’t. If something is wrong, stand up for yourself. You know your body better than anyone.

This doctor did an operation on my wife that did not go well! When my wife woke up afterward this doctor was in the room asking was she alright. Long story short the operation took way longer than it should have. As a result my wife had cancer spread to all parts of her body. Be CARFUL!!!!!

Great loving Docter

Stickles denied me my consent form of the resident actually doing the surgery. I asked for a copy of my consent form to her staff, herself, the registry, the signing in before surgery desk. My left toe is still numb to this day from them not moving my foot in the stir ups for the longer than usual instructional dissection class. I have no idea whom to address for my toe numbness because no one admits to what happened to me under their care. Learning comes first at the Paoli Hospital, not the patient. I recently had my bellybutton incision restitched by my dermatologist because the resident Emily Sabato did not stitch my incision up well and after how Stickles lied to me so many times I wasn't having her touch me. It is my belief that Sabato did the stitches, I have yet to really know. The worst part is my OB Deborah Bieter-Schultz may have been given a kick back for referrals to Xiaomang Stickles cause she had me sign a consent form (a test) for her to do the surgery orginaly and never… let me read it or a copy. I have no real review on Stickles since Sabato did my surgery except that she doesn't give you your consent form so you don't know that she's not really the one working on you even after she says she is. Stickles holds the camera as she stated,"Its the most important part." When a surgeon you were referred to tells you they are sorry for lying to you, you blame the one who referred you.

I was very tense prior to my appointment. The fear of ovarian cancer was paralyzing. Dr. Stickles, very accomplished and very personable, did not try to give me false hope, but she gave me the facts of my situation in such a positive way that I felt very much as if I was in the best hands possible.
