Dr. Yafa Minazad, DO

This Dr is terrible !!! do not go to her she may put your life at risk. I was uncomfortable with her explanation of my diagnosis and I advised her that I would seek a 2nd opinion. I received a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Come to find out she missed diagnosed me and my condition worsened. I addressed my concerns to her and she just brushed me off. NEVER ever go to this Dr NEVER

Dr Minazad is easy to talk to and I feel comfortable expressing my feelings and emotions to her, which is #1 for the patient doctor relationship. She’s helped me a lot by changing medications and has helped me find what works. The trade off... her unorganized office.... I try calling at 920am on a Monday to confirm my appointment and I get the recording which says our business hours are m-f 9am-whatever. It can be frustrating but for me it’s worth it the minute inconvenience. Her staff is very nice.

BEWARE! Her negligence may actually put your health at risk! She ordered a sleep study for me. I completed this unpleasant experience in early November. Fast forward TWO MONTHS later and I still haven't received any results of the study! After several phone calls of me begging for results, finally a nurse practitioner (not the Dr. herself) called me back with some significant results. I'm not sure if the Dr. has even read the results! What if no one ever told me? It appears I need further treatment but it certainly with NOT be with this Dr. In fact I am exploring legal advise. If you want to have responsible, respectful interactions with your Dr. DO NOT go to her!!!

Stunningly incompetent. She alone destroys Huntington Hospital's reputation. If you hear her name, run, crawl , do what ever you need to - get away and find a competent doctor.

I had a tramatic brain injury while on vacation and was initially treated out of state. When I returned I saw Dr. Minizad and she took me right away and had an MRI done and reviewed within a week of my return. She recommended Dr. Edge-Booth who treats people with TBI, another fantastic doctor. I credit both of them with my recovery.

I saw Dr. Minizad for a follow-up with a recent problem of having difficulty walking, cramping in my legs, muscle soreness, and pain in my lower extremities. She spent less than 10 minutes with me after waiting for almost an hour, did not let me finish my symptom list before she pushed me out the door, and even claimed that she would not order or look at new neuro-imaging until I had gone through 3 month of physical therapy-which I had already been working on and which exacerbated my symptoms. I have never had a board certified physician act less professionally to this condition that has lasted over 6 months.

This doctor saw me while I was in the hospital, totally unexpected admit. She was very clear in what needed to be done, gave a correct diagnosis with a clear plan of care for my follow up care. She is caring and very good.

Dr. Minazad was the neurologist on call when I was admitted to the hospital with optic neuritis. She was the MD who had to tell me and my entire family that I had MS. She was so kind and patient with us all, and really listened to all of our questions. She allowed me to see my MRI while still in the hospital, and explained it to my parents. I felt so lucky to be treated with such kindness and compassion.
