Dr. Yan-Qun Sun, MD

Trying to make an appointment to see Dr. Sun is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encounter! I called three times and still reroute to different offices to see him. My dad has seen him already and we just want to understand situation. I was told that we need to be there in person to talk to him (so that he can charge more insurance). No solutions provide to us at all!

He barely looked at my shoulder and when I complained of pain when moving my arm in a certain way, he told me not to move it that way! I asked about x-ray and/or MRI. NO! just need to take the medicine he prescribed. But, the same medicine my family doctor already prescribed to me. It's useless to see him. He would not do any tests or PT. Avoid Dr. Sun!

First of all it was $150 copay. I’ve seen MANY doctors before and NEVER have I paid such high copay. My appointment was @ 9:40am and I was out of there by 9:55am. He spent less than 5 minutes with me. Alll to tell me no broken bones; I kind of knew this. It was just bruised. No kidding.

He is a great doctor. He does not talk too much. He could point out the problem correctly in a second. He gave us straight foreward answers for the diagnosis and the treatment options. He is very conservative and always try non-surgical treatment first if it is possible before reccommend to have surgical treatment. He has good hands for his surgical performance. He is a trustable doctor.

Trying to make an appointment to see Dr. Sun is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encounter. The first time I made an appointment for my husband at the Flushing office was for his extreme knee pain. The staff gave me an appointment that's a month later. By the time my husband saw the doc, his knee was better and no more pain. The doc told him there is nothing he can do since there is no more pain and sent my husband to get a x-ray anyway. Unsurprisingly, his x-ray was all good (b/c it's a month later). Anyway, my husband's knee pain (can barely stand/walk) is back yesterday and I called the doc right away - hoping to get an appointment soon. The staff said the earliest appointment is the end of the month, even for returning patient. I am wondering what is the point in seeing this doctor at all, b/c he only sees patients when they are fine, not when they are ill!!
