Dr. Yanbing Laura Li, MD

I honestly question whether she is truly qualified as a medical doctor. She was basically asking me what I thought it might be because she didn't have a clue. Didn't even check certain areas until I asked her to. No way she graduated from a US school.

I went to Centegra Immediate Care Clinic where I'd been once before. This time I got Dr Yanbing Li. Before seeing Dr Li, the nurse took my vitals and noted my complaint of a crackling noise in my left ear and periods of stabbing pain above my right eye. I heard her tell Dr Li that I had an earache in my left ear. Dr Li came into the room and glanced briefly in my right ear and said I needed to use prescribed eardrops three times a day for a week. I told her my complaint was about my left ear to which she asked if I use Q tips. At least three more times during the appointment she told me how bad Qtips are. I had to interrupt to ask her to look in my right ear. I told her the crackling noise started three days prior after blowing my nose really hard. After a quick look she said the ear drops will be good for the left ear too. She then said I may need to see an ENT doctor. After losing that battle, I asked her about the pain above my right eye. She briefly shined the light in it and… said it didn't look swollen. I said I knew it wasn't swollen and the pain was above and behind the eye. She said I may need to see an opthomologist. I said I was willing to try the eardrops but didn't think that was the solution so inseeming to satisfy me she prescribed an antibiotic. Up and out the door she went leaving me ticked off. When she returned to the room, I'd had enough time to gather my thoughts and I said the following- "this is the worst consult I've ever had." She started to blame that she couldn't get her computer booted up. I said it had nothing to do with her computer, it was about her doing a bad job. I went on to explain (basically what I described above) and after the third time when she interrupted me I said "this is a large part of the problem- you don't listen. You're so busy trying to think up a response that you aren't hearing what I'm saying. YOU NEED TO BE QUIET AND LISTEN!" It was at this point that I thought I saw the first glimmer of connecting. I continued to describe in detail the whole appointment (including her repeated Qtip bashing and that I may need to see two specialists) At this point she apologized and said she was truly "taking it in" (she emphasized "taking it in" by placing her hand over her heart.) When I left the room I went straight to the front desk and repeated my experience to the head of the department. I was asked if I wanted to see my regular doctor whose office was upstairs. "YES!" I was then ushered upstairs and saw my doctor within a 1/2 hour. Now my doctor is really good but because of that is also really busy. I didn't think my complaint was serious enough to make an appointment which is why I stopped at the clinic. After examining my ear, my doctor concluded that I did not have an ear infection and did not need drops. The ear drum looked fine and she thought eustachian tube was partially blocked and should clear up on its own within a week or so. The eye area pain was probably a nerve that was unsettled thus occasionally firing and causing the pain. I didn't need prescription ear drops or antibiotics. I didn't need to see an ENT or Opthomologist. Her recommendation- I should try Allegra D for the nasal congestion (remember thats how I said it all started- from blowing my nose). For the eye pain, try an anti inflammatory like Aleve for 3 days. If I wasn't better after a week to call her office.
