Dr. Yanek S Y Chiu, MD

Dr. Chiu is the most brilliant and compassionate doctor I have ever met. I first met him in 1988. I had colon cancer and he was my surgeon. I lived in Marin at that time and as I got my diagnosis at Marin General, I was given a card to call Dr. Chiu and was told he is the BEST in the WEST Coast. Happy to say I am cancer free to this day. He has done several surgeries on me over the years unrelated to cancer and he always does a wonderful job . Dr. Chiu is so dedicated to his work and has the best bedside manners. One cannot find a better doctor than Dr. Chiu, I am so fortunate to have met him in 1988 and Thankful to him for everything he has done for me.

I was misdiagnosed and an unnecessary surgery was performed by Dr. Chiu. Moreover to not correctly identifying my condition, he did not follow up post-op, such as necessary/required x-rays, which I constantly requested and was denied every time until I got a severe infection that required emergency revision causing me to almost die. If I begin to tell you my whole nightmare with Dr. Chiu, I know this space won't be enough.
