Dr. Yash Pal Sangwan, MD

Dr. Sangwan was brief, professional, to the point, and performed emergency surgery on a Sunday to fix a blockage in my small intestines. He successfully addressed the problem, I recovered quickly, and was discharged two days later. I went to Dr. Sangwan’s office today (5 days post surgery), for a follow up visit and was told that my insurance had denied his bill, so they would only see me if I paid the bill right then. If they were willing to bet the cost of one appointment (~$100) against my health and getting sued, I figured they thought I was fine, so I left. Plus, I am from out of state so I had spoken with my insurance when I was first hospitalized and they assured me I would be completely covered as this was an emergency. I called my insurance company after I left the doctor’s, and they told me they had yet to even receive a claim from Dr. Sangwan!!! I then called the office about the lack of a submitted claim, and they told me they’d get back to me…

His wife is extremely unprofessional and rude. I get that you hired her to save money but her attitude is running you business off. The place could use a total overhaul.

Dr. Sangwan is highly competent and skilled. I had "twisted and knotted" tubes in my chest ready to burst. He relieved the pressure that was building and then removed the entire "knot" complex. He then reconnected the functional tubes. This was a very scary situation and I believe I was lucky to have Dr. Sangwan as the head surgeon.

Dr. Sangwan is a marvelous doctor. I entered the emergency room with no knowledge of my issue. He diagnosed my problem as ulcerative colitis and did successful emergency surgery. The surgery was very very intense with many issues. Dr. Sangwan saved my life. I recommend him for any issues you may have.

He is an awesome doctor. He is very caring and did not give up on my father. He saved my fathers life. My fathers have over 30 holes in his bowel and DR Sangwan stiched every hole it took him 5 1/2 hours and he made sure he got my father bowel and intestines to work again . He is a true blessing from God.

The experience i had with Dr. Sangwan was amazing. The microscopic surgery he performed was to remove my severely ruptured appendix. The operation he performed, leaving a tiny scar. Dr. Sangwan was professional and caring. I believe he saved my life. Baptist Nassau hospital was very clean and the nurses were wonderful.I highly recommend Dr.Sangwan and Baptist Nassau hospital to everyone.

My review is not against Yash Sangwan, just his staff. They were supposed to file my paperwork as a routine colonoscopy, but they didn't. Now I am going to get turned over for collection because they won't re file it. I won't pay anyone for what was supposed to be free, so I will never step foot in this office again. They just lost a patient.

This dr saved my life. As a new patient Dr Sangwan pushed thru hospital testing, made a quick & accurate diagnosis (C. Diff). He called me on a Sunday am to tell me he had called in a Rx. I was well quickly. I only trust Dr Sangwan to perform my colonoscopy.
