Dr. Yashma Raman Patel

Dr Patel is one of those doctors who does not pay attention when you voice your needs. She never saw me as disabled when I do in fact need a wheelchair to travel further than five steps. She did not understand why I was wearing an arm brace when I had it on because my neck is so locked tight that I can't bear the weight of my own arm. She refused to prescribe me the prescriptions that I needed. I had to beg her for them and she refused to increase the doses when I obviously needed it. She sent me to a pain clinic and then asked why I was going there. She laughed at me for going there when she was the one who referred me. She really traumatized me. I would watch out when choosing her as a neurologist.

No compassion and judged me based on another condition. Refused to help. I ended up in ER following my appointment with a suggestion “if you want to go.” Right we all want to go to the ER Sure she will deny this however I requested her medical notes and read them.

No compassion and pre judged.

I switched to Dr. Patel after my other neurologist left the area. I found her to be compassionate and easy to talk to, with a good bedside manner. Dealing with her nurse is another matter, where I have felt she does not enjoy her job, is unfriendly when checking me in, and becomes annoyed with having to deal with insurance matters. It is unfortunate this is the face of Dr. Patel, and may influence my switching neurologists to one with a more caring staff.

Dr. Patel listened to me and treated me like a person that had value.... I have learned that this is an increasing rarity in the medical field. I don't trust many with my health, but if I still lived in Spokane Dr. Yashma Patel is the only one I would go to. I pray to be lucky enough to find a great neurologists when we move to North Carolina.

Dr. Patel came in and didn't even introduce herself to me. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. Stated I had "too many symptoms." She asked why I was there. Makes me think she didn't even read my chart. I was there to get help with a possible TBI, she stated "I don't specialize in TBI's." But yet she can tell me that all my symptoms are too far from when my accident happened, my new symptom of stuttering is psychological, and that I don't have short term memory if I can recall all of my symptoms and get through nursing school (although I already failed once). I ended up getting so up set I stormed out. From reading below, it appears that she only goes off of scan results instead of symptoms. I may not be a doctor but the first rule in nursing school is to not always go off the diagnostics, but to look at the symptoms. The most cold hearted doctor I have ever met. I would not recommend her to anyone!

This woman has single handedly misdiagnosed and miss handled me since I first saw her thanks to her my ms and seizures have gotten worse my lesions have only gotten bigger and all she does is treat me with the distain anger and resentment this is the worst Dr a human being can see. She raises her voice at me treats me with attitude and doesn't even recognize my name or remember that I've been thereeven after seeing her two weeks prior please avoid this human being if at all possible she is the worst person. if you'd like to die go see dr. Patel

Overall good doctor

She is the sweetest, most compassionate doctor i've ever had. I trust her wholeheartedly.

Absolutely amazing doctor! She went above and beyond to help me... She is an angel sent from heaven!
