Dr. Wong is great - she is enthusiastic and clearly cares for all her patients. She is thorough and takes into account my entire medical situation, not just what the specific problem is. If other things were as good as Dr.W is, I would recommend her highly. But there are many things about my experiences with her that I would like to be different. She is a teaching physician in a major hospital. When I first became her pt (abt 3 years ago)., she was seeing pts in her office about 2 1/2 days a week. Since that time she has been supervising residents in the hospital more and more. It is now virtually impossible to get an appointment with her. Even when I was in the hospital and she was the supervisor for Family Practice residents, she didn't stop by to see me in person. We ran across each other in the hallway; that was my only contact with her.. Basically, for the past year, I have been (involuntarily) playing Resident Roulette, and that's not acceptable to me. There are pros and cons… whenever you choose to go to a teaching facility, but at this point, after being a pt in this FP Center for about 25 years, I'm looking for a different physician. in a different practice.The supporting staff are friendly and courteous and do their jobs efficiently. The facility is not attractive. Furniture and carpeting is worn, the exam room floors don't look clean although they are. It's a rather unpleasant place to go. So Dr. Wong is very good, but the circumstances in which she practices are pretty bad. If I could give 3 and a half stars for overall rating, I would, but since that wasn't an option, I rounded up.
