Dr. Ying Peng

Beyond 5 stars. Dr. Peng has been a huge blessing to our family. Our three year old son started having unexplained seizures and Dr. Peng worked to see us quickly, get us the testing he needed and was the most caring and compassionate physician my husband and I ever encountered. To say she goes above and beyond for her patients is an understatement. Luckily all our son's turned out well but he needed medication for his seizures and Dr. Peng has been with us every step of the way. As a mother this was one of the hardest times in my life but I knew my son was in the best hands and Dr. Peng was so kind to my husband and I. If anyone is in need of a neurologist, Dr. Peng is by far the best and I truly can't tell you what she means to our family.

Dr. Peng is an intelligent and compassionate doctor who understands and helps without attitude or judgment!

Dr.Peng is truly the best physician that we have met for the past 15 years! I have two special needs children. The oldest one is 19 years old with severe autism, severe self injurious behaviors, and insomnia. We have been seeing Dr.Peng since 2015. My oldest son now has more than 2000 vocabularies, the self injurious behaviors has drastically reduced. Above all,he is not staying up all night anymore. ! Dr.Peng treated my sons as if they are her own children. She definitely cares addresses to all our concerns. We are so blessed with such a knowledgeable, loving physician. My youngest son Matthew has ADHD. He used to display violent behaviors with mostly failing grades at school. After several treatments with Dr.Peng , he now has straight “A”’s except for P.E. Matthew now has friends at school and plays with his peers. We highly recommended Dr.Peng to all families who are going through hardships. She definitely makes a huge difference!!! We have been seeing Dr Peng for our sons neurology issues for over 10 years. She takes the time to spend assessing him on Every visit and involves him fully in all discussions and medical planning. He adores her and she is one of the few appts he has that doesn’t cause a meltdown in anticipation. Dr Peng is primarily the person I credit for getting the right tests ordered that resulted in an actual diagnosis we have been able to work with that allowed us to better make care decisions for his future. I am thrilled that as he ages out of pediatric specialties Dr Peng will be able to remain his neurologist into adulthood as his issues will not magically resolve at age 18. Dr Pengs assistant has been rude from day 1 in the way she speaks to patients. We had a family emergency and before even asking for an explanation I was told we will be charged a 100 dollar no show fee. Meanwhile we are sitting in mission hospital while my daughter was supposed to be having her appointment time waiting to hear about the status of my father who was medi-vaced there in a coma in critical condition. When I told them what was going on and was willing to provide proof of the situation I was informed that from the time my daughter started seeing the doctor which was years ago there was a history of 3 no shows in there system which if we have ever needed to RESCHEDULE we had done so at least 24 hrs before and never not called or not shown up. I am a single mother of 2 children and we have had to reschedule in the past but never without providing notice until this point. I already had concerns about Dr. Peng and after I shared the advice and treatement given to my daughter at… this facility with another pediatric doctor and personal friend he suggested we request a second option referral from her doctors of which we were granted given the information the primary care doctor reviewed. When we brought up concerns about the causes of my daughters seizures which had been brought to our attention by a pediatric neurologist at a hospital earlier this year when my daughter was hospitalized to Dr. peng she immediately dismissed the other doctors recommendations for additional tests to determine the cause of her seizures. There was also another time when we were sent a document with the wrong medication and dosage listed on a document to be provided for a seizure action plan. I had to call the office and point out that this was not even a medication she was taking let alone incorrect dose. They emailed me back a corrected version after my call. Just honestly havent had a good feeling about the doctor and staff and should have listened to that gut feeling years ago when we began seeing her. Grateful for the advice of the primary care to obtain a second opinion along w family friends that are physicians. I would never recommend this doctor or office to any friends or family. ESPECIALLY not for the care of children
