Dr. Yodit B Benalfew, MD

Dr Benalfew was very nice and it seems (mostly in retrospect) to know what she was doing. I mean, she has the education and experience. Unfortunately, we had a communication problem. She would order tests and things and expect that I would know why that she was doing these things. These were not common tests, btw. So I'd end up with flagged problems in the Kaiser database, but I had never heard any of them from her. Some of these problems ended up with me in the emergency room at later points - and other doctors were confused that my doctor didn't cover this stuff with me. Also, she seemed so busy that she didn't want to spend time with you for very long - this may have been inherent in the system, rather than a fault of Dr Benalfew, but I was with her for almost 3 years before pulling the trigger to go with another doctor. It just seemed like there was a disconnect.

She is both knowledgable and friendly always willing to spend the time needed by the patient

Kind and caring Doctor. Very understanding and helpful, spends time with you to understand your issue and provides easy to follow instruction.

This doctor was good, she took her time and listened, asked a lot of questions, Made me feel my problem or concern was important to her, She clearly explained what to expect foe the test and treatment She sent me my rest via e mail that same day

Just awful. Does not care a bit about patients.

dr. Benalfew has been my primary care doctor for many years. She is very knowledgeable and finds out the problem. Always takes time with her patients and answers all of my questions. Have much faith in her and I also respect her greatly.
