Wait time is to long and staff is very rude

WE ARE A SPECIALIST OFFICE AND WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE. THEIR STAFF IS BY FAR THE WORST WE HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. THEY CAN NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE. EXTREMELY RUDE PEOPLE. INEXPERIENCED AND IMMATURE OFFICE. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 MONTHS FOR AN AUTHORIZATION FOR A PATIENT THAT NEEDS HELP.. STILL WAITING. PLEASE LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT PRIMARY CARE. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

Good visit but everything is overshadowed by her horrible staff and very poor follow up. Called for 3 weeks - 7 times total with no call back. When I finally got someone to call me, they said Dr. Marcos is on vacation for the week. I have my whole family with her. I am pulling them off her care.

Recently, I was referred to this office & decided to see what the reception would be and learn about the practice. I wanted to make an appointment but they said they would have to call the doctor & coordinate. The girl at the back desk, as you leave the office, bristled at having to print out forms. She behaved in a very passive/aggressive manner taking nearly 10 minutes to print forms. Using online is not only dangerous but Hippa violations can occur. I set that behavior aside as little girls usually have not had proper training in protocol and/or know about Patient Rights. So I left grateful that I would have a primary caretaker, which I felt comfortable with. Not Marcos but another Dr..That same day, I received a call that my appointment would be two days later. I made changes, re-scheduled appointments & went to a lot of trouble to make sure I secured that appointment. When I arrived on that day, the girl at the front desk, Claudia, said there was no appointment & insisted I tell… her who had called…as if I knew. I mentioned that as a working professional with a full schedule, I would not just show up to the office without an appointment. She then said that I would have to see the PA & I said no, that my appointment was with the doctor. She went to speak to another girl behind the screen & I heard them laugh. She came back asked for my birthdate began to repeat it loudly. I whispered it & again she said it loudly. I looked at her & said, you are violating Hippa. I sat in the waiting area & she screamed out my name & began talking as I was getting up to come to the front desk. A HORRIBLE experience. Poorly trained staff, rude, & violation of HIPPA and Patient Rights occurred. More occurred. This is all recorded by the way!

Ahh, the story of most offices. The doctor is good, but the staff is terrible. Getting referrals handled is like pulling teeth, and I have spent close to 3 hours on the phone in the past week between her office and specialist offices just trying to get referrals sorted out. Still no referrals to be found, and now the specialist offices are calling her office just to get the darned paperwork they need. As for the Dr. herself, she's fine. Firm but kind, very matter-of-fact. She has horrendous allergies, so if you have animals at home, wear scents or are a smoker, she will be sniffling and coughing. When she pushes on sore spots, she doesn't do it too hard, and she doesn't shake hands (huge plus in my book). I felt like she listened and was willing to take on my care if she thought she could do it competently, or get me referred to a specialist if she didn't think she could handle it properly. Now it's the waiting game for her staff to actually get the job done, which is going… terribly.

Awful front desk staff, rude and unprofessional. Too bad for Doctor Marcos.

Wait time is totally unacceptable.

I am a fairly new patient to Dr. Alder. I like him alot! He explains everything and takes his time with me. All of the people in the office are courtious and I enjoy going to the doctors.

I have been going to Dr. Marcos since 2004. The wait is one or two hours. If you call be prepared to be put on hold. You may need to take half a morning to be able to accomplish making or canceling an appointment. The DR's are ok and so is the staff. I think they schedule too many patient and everyone looks overwhelmed and I tired. It's almost like social medicine, this is private practice and we pay our good share of money to be seeing.

Dr. Marcos sees my mother and does an excellent job with her in all aspects. I like to see the PA for my own care. The new PA, Tony, was excellent. I felt very comfortable with him and he was thorough. I will continue to go here for my healthcare needs.
