Dr. Yoo-Jin Michelle Baik, MD

Dr. Yoo-Jin Baik is a neurologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before pursuing her medical training. Dr. Baik finished her residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2022 and went on to complete a fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2024. She holds board certification in neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which she earned in 2022. Dr. Baik is fluent in both English and Korean.

Dr. Baik practices at Hackensack University Medical Center and sees patients at locations in both Hackensack and Paramus, New Jersey. She treats patients with movement problems and works with those who have balance and coordination issues known as ataxia. Her expertise also includes managing carotid artery disease, which affects blood flow to the brain. Dr. Baik performs brain wave monitoring tests called …electroencephalograms and has experience with therapeutic hypothermia treatments for certain neurological conditions.
