Zachary Smith, MD

I am a patient of Dr. Smith of the neurosurgery department. He is an amazing surgeon as well as a caring and wonderful person. He also is able to explain things in an understandable manner.

Doctor was very friendly and impressed by his fluency in Spanish.

I was permanently injured after a discectomy laminectomy in 2015 by Dr Zachary Smith. He cut into my Dural / thecal sac, permanently injuring my spinal nerve roots. A surgical reapair also in 2015 caused Arachnoiditis with sensory nerve loss in both legs and feet. In Oct. 2016 a third surgery at Mayo clinic became necessary for I lost control of my bowl and bladder functions. I am no longer able to work and I am on long term disability because of this. Please. Do not undergo surgery with Dr Smith for anything!

I had 9 years of excruciating back pain, was on constant pain killers, and already had a discectomy and laminectomy by another surgeon at another prominent hospital. I saw Dr Smith, he did a fusion and I am literally pain free. He is a WONDERFUL doctor in more ways than one. Aside from being a brilliant surgeon, he is personable, caring, and spends ample time with his patients before and after surgery. I am forever grateful. -Tracy
