Best Doctor Ever! Leaps and bounds above other ophthalmologists! Compassionate and competent.

I am an RN and kind of picky about my doctors. I have been to four different ophthalmologists over the course of my life and after going to Dr Z, I could not believe the difference. He is not only insanely smart and up on the latest treatments, but he has such a gentle, warm, and compassionate way about him. While my other doctors had two ideas for effective treatment, he had ten. Don’t trust your eyes or your time to anyone else. He won’t make you feel like a number when everyone else does.

I’ve got enough stress with my Keratoconus and this doctor just made it worse. I had to make the appointment a month and a half in advance, and I gave them all the info they needed to get my records from my regular eye doctor. The staff was very nice and professional at my appointment, but that didn’t make up for how rude the doctor was. Turns out the didn’t even get the records they needed to determine if I needed the operation I came in to talk about. The doctor spent less than five minutes with me. All he did was recite the google definition of the surgery, and told me to ask questions. He got super annoyed with my questions, and walked out of the room. McDonald’s employees making minimum wage have much better customer service skills than this doctor making a six figure salary. I need a doctor who is highly skilled but also one that cares about me as a person to help calm my stress. They never even called me back to schedule the surgery like they said they would. I recommend Hoopes… Vision they’ve treated me very well!
