Dr. Zia Mohammed Sheikh, MD

He has saved my life and my husbands life several times. I am forever in his debt. I am thankful to God every day that I know this man. He is smart and yes he is real, but that's what I love about him. So many times he has went to bat for us. So many times he has helped us. He is a wonderful, caring man and best of the best doctor.

Pretends to care, not focused on you as a patient, like he has something always on his mind. Staff unprofessional as he is. There goofy like teenagers and forget where they actually work. Run run run from this office.

My comment he’s a good doctor, but I needed a change ,I wanted a female doctor . Whenever you see another doctor and decide you want that change he does not release all you records He releases what he chooses . I have seen him prolly a good 10 yrs or better .So my file should be thick well my files were half that . Now my new doctor has to start at the bottom .Thank you Dr Sheikh . You lost my trust forever.

I like Doctor Sheikh he use to focus on you 100% of the time, however over the last year or so he seems very distant and unfocused... Since that scribe has been in his office she seems to effect his ability to concentrate on your issues even more...I believe what you tell him goes in one ear and out the other...I sense a personal relationship between the two... I have been debuting whether to continue with his services and just find someone else...Since I have worked in health care myself within the Olean/Wellsville area and know most of the the physicians, there is no one I can seem to trust! I am very frustrated with his care and services lately...I am sorry to say "I do not recommend him!" It might be worth the drive out of the area to Buffalo or Rochester for a primary care doctor!

If you are reading this to see if you want to go see this Dr. I strongly urge you to seek a different doctor. Dr sheik is far from professional swearing like a teenage while treating you trying to act cool or something. He has a scribe in his office when you are seen who always seems to have his attention sometimes it seems like they have forgotten you are there as they play with cell phones I read a previous review this must be the girl friend. I have only seen him maybe 5 times I heard he was good however he has not helped me one bit just cost me s lot of money. His staff seems okay in fact one of his secretaries gave me the best medical advice I’ve received in a long time. Bottom line the guy is a quack who barely speaks English. He will lie to you face. His girlfriend the scribe or whatever she is will look up home remedies and he will try to push them on you. Again there are much better doctors out there for your money. Go elsewhere

Dr. Sheikh is my mother's physician. He, himself, is a wonderful doctor for her. He listens to her, and treats her as if she was his mother. He never hurries her and treats her seriously. The Olean office staff that handles his phone calls and appointments ruins anything good that Dr. Sheikh may exhibit. The Salamanca staff is very nice, very helpful; but, again, the Olean staff is extremely rude, disrespectful and negligent in seeing that phone calls are answered; when you are put on hold for a phone call, they hang up. If it wasn't for the fact that my mom trusts Dr. Sheikh, I would not allow her to go there.

I have seen Doctor Sheikh for many years! I feel that he actually listens to me and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is addressed before I leave his office. His staff on the other hand is horrible and I never have a good encounter with them. He has wrote me referral after referral to see specialist they lose them or take months (or even a year-yes that's happened to me) to set things up. I've noticed they do not file paperwork correctly, lose paperwork regularly, have bad attitudes, sit behind the window laughing and joking instead of dealing with the long line of people before them...the list goes on. I've recently decided to search for another primary doctor because as amazing as he is, I have dealt with enough from his incompetent staff. If he ever replaces them I would go back to his office in a heartbeat!

I chose Dr. Sheikh as my Primary Care doctor about a year and a half ago, on the recommendation of a friend. My father is also a patient of his. What I like most is that he actually LISTENS to me. I never feel rushed, and he always takes the time to answer any question I might have--and encourages me to ask more! He is always willing to re-explain anything i didn't understand, draw a picture/diagram, or whatever it takes to address any concerns I might have. It might sound silly but its refreshing to have a Doctor that's so concerned with my level of understanding. Without a doubt, the thing I like the least, is that I sometimes end up sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes (or more), before I actually see the doctor. That can be a bit frustrating, but by the time my appointment is over, I remember why I keep coming back. What a good doctor! I will keep him as long as he stays in the area!
