Dr. Zinnahquai Quai S Holmes, MD

I wish I had consulted these review sites before ever starting with this doctor. I can’t say if it’s intentional or not, but as a matter of plain fact, she regularly displays a poor attitude that can be characterized as both rude and indifferent, thinly concealed beneath a quick to drop facade of good cheer. She’s not particularly interested in what you think or have to say and will cut you off. She’s inflexible in her approach to care, and it’s either her way or the highway. Your input is not welcomed or incorporated into your care. She’s regularly forgetful, and you will have to follow up on things yourself that you shouldn’t have to. I tried to work with her, because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of finding someone else, but do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake.

Dr. Holmes performs a thorough wellness examination with competence and professional caring. She is considerate of the patient's concerns.

My experience with Dr. Holmes has been extremely poor. She has shown no empathy, was not the least bit helpful in properly diagnosing my issue and in the meantime, I've lost in excess of 20 lbs. over the last 5 weeks. Her staff also showed lack of competence when they listed me as "an African-American woman, smoker and recently had a urinary-tract infection". These are all incorrect. I'm a Caucasian American, non-smoker and was diagnosed with esophagitis. I do not recommend her or this office.

Very rude, not helpful and tried to diagnose me on issues I did not have. Did not introduce herself, had an attitude when I told her my concerns and dismissed me.

Every review I have read on her was pretty spot on. First time I came to her she ordered me to get labs taken. Upon returning per her request for the results, she greets me with "what are you in for today?" Well, the results to the labs you made me get? She has referred me to other doctors for every issue I've come to her for, rendering her utterly useless. She is just as happy to collect my copay each time. She sent me out to get a referral for a medication, in which I recieved the results almost 2 months ago, but oddly she still hasn't. Yet the doctor has confirmed he did, in fact, send it to her. So I will be collecting my eval and taking it to a new doctor. She takes no consideration of my time, the time I have to take off of work for her appointments and the money I am spending to see her and then see the "specialists" she keeps referring me out to. I had gone to her for dizziness, headaches and just a general feeling of not being well. All she did was set me up for a $100 MRI- 2… days later I go to the urgent care to discover it was a severe sinus infection and was cleared with some nasal spray. I have never written a negative review in my life but felt it necessary. I wish I would have researched her prior.

Irrational, emotional, confrontational, accusatory. Visit felt like an interrogation, not a medical evaluation. Freaks out over patients who are prescribed legal narcotics and treats them like criminals.

Was hesitant to order additional tests to diagnosis problem because of "insurance rules" therefore a Misdiagnosis was made making recovery much harder and longer.

I find Dr. Holmes experienced, confident and capable. She addressed all my issues with out making me feel uncomfortable in any way. I began to feel better immediately after picking up my prescription and arriving at home. Thanks Dr. Holmes!

There have been a couple occasions when I described a symptom I had to this doctor and she blatently told me that she didn't see the anything. I felt like she didn't listen to me and discredited my opinion. I received no treatment from her for this ongoing issue and switched doctors.

Dr. Holmes has been my PCP for over five years and due to sheer laziness I'm still with her. She is incredibly rude most of the time. I try whenever possible to go to Urgent Care rather than try to get an appointment to see her. She has one decent nurse, Glenda, but the other one is just as rude as she is. I had white spots on my tonsils for a solid six months before she would refer me to the ENT. She just kept throwing various antibiotics at me and then got attitude the final time I was in her office for it. Twice when I was in her office she laughed at my concerns. I'm here researching a new doctor because I've finally had enough.
