Zoe Macisaac, MD

Zoe MacIsaac, M.D., joined City of Hope in 2019. As a plastic surgeon at City of Hope Phoenix, Dr. MacIsaac focuses her practice on breast cancer reconstruction, as well as complex reconstruction of the head and neck, the extremities and other areas. She performs primary and secondary breast reconstruction after mastectomy, including reconstruction following nipple-sparing mastectomy and reconstruction after lumpectomy, including oncoplastic rearrangement and oncoplastic breast reduction. Dr. MacIsaac’s techniques are tailored to each individual patient and ranges from autologous fat transfer to tissue expander and implant-based reconstruction. In addition, she performs completely autologous procedures using only the patient’s own tissue during breast reconstruction and repairs nerve endings following mastectomy to give patients chance to regain sensation.Dr. MacIsaac earned a medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in craniofacial …biology research at the University of Pittsburgh. She then completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is board certified in plastic surgery and has authored numerous papers and book chapters during her career.
