Dr. Zoe Rodriguez, MD

I wish I could give zero stars. I have had nothing but negative experiences with Dr. Rodriguez. I had a consult with her for a hysterectomy, and of course had questions. She refused to answer anything at the consult, and told me to wait until our follow-up after I scheduled a surgery date. Weird, but whatever. So I scheduled a surgery date and came to find out, said "follow-up" was a couple weeks before my actual surgery. I called her office and asked to schedule a second consult for questions. They were wonderful and understanding, and were able to get me an appointment for another consult. So I thought we were all good. I was wrong. I got a call back the following day saying the Dr. Rodriguez said to cancel that appointment and she would just answer my questions at our pre-op appointment. I told them not to bother, and to just cancel my surgery. I can't imagine letting any doctor remove an entire organ system from my body when they can't even be bothered to be in the same… room with me for 5 minutes and answer a few questions about a MAJOR surgery. Even at our consult, she was cold and uncaring. You're clearly not worth her time, so don't waste your on her. Find a doctor who isn't unprofessional and borderline negligent.

I was recommended to Dr. Zoe Rodriguez by Dr. Brown who left me practice. I always had lower abdominal pains after three c-sections and was diagnosed with a fibriod. I went to her because the recommendation to follow up my GYN care at Beth Israel since its been the only hospital I've been seen. Well I do have to say that the experience has not been positive. She only explained that my pain was due to my one and only fibroid. She did do an sonogram and exlained results but all she recommended was a uterine embolization or surgery to remove by uterus. I was a little uncomfortable on her beside manner on how blunt she said. I told her that I did not want a hystorectomy. Continued with pain and ended up in the emergency room. I went back to her and she stated that I need to the embolization so that my symptoms could get better. Referred me to the doctor taht does the procedure. He was kind and super nice and explained everything. I did schedule appointment to do the procedure… though inside I felt a little hesitatant. Pain continued and I just dealt with it. About five months after I saw her for my annual and explained to her that the pain continued that the embolization really didn't help. I asked her to do a sonogram because I wanted to know if the procedure work. She told me it wasn't necessary. She relies on symptoms not size of fibroid. I got pain again that I ended in emergency once again. This time a CT-Scan was done and it turns out that I have a twisted ovary and my uterus is "boggy". I had to follow up with GYN for further evaluation. Called the clinic and informed nurse. I got a call back and she said that Dr. Rodriguez stated there is nothing to do everything looks fine. Just take pain killers and call the office if I get pain again. I felt horrible and misunderstood. Still getting pain. I decided to get a second opinion and now I need emergent surgery. Turns out my ovary is still enlarged and it could get damaged and my uterus is not doing well. The embolization she recommended made everything worse. Now I will have a procedure done soon. So much for doctor Rodriguez. Please anyone reading this...when in doubt go see another doctor. Doctor's should care about their patients and not avoid or ignore symptoms.

Wow. I can not believe I let this woman cut me open. She's cold and uncaring beyond belief. I should have believed the reviews I read about her. I had a partial hysterectomy due to fibroids. I was in the hospital for four days and didn't see her once. My follow up in her office was 5 minutes. She explained nothing, told me I was fine and that I should come back in a year. This is after open abdominal surgery. I called and spoke to her nurse after I came home saying I had cramps and felt s bit emotional after the surgery, that I'd like to speak to the doctor to see if this was all normal. The nurse called me back saying the doctor wouldn't speak to me, that if I had bad cramps I should go to the emergency room and if I felt emotional after the surgery I should consider seeing a psychiatrist. Wow.

Very professional and prompt request to prescription request

Dr. Rodriguez remembers me year after year. Very low key, but very clear is she thinks there is an issue... If there is an issue, there is an introduction to what the problem is or may be, note taken, and options listed with the general consensus from research. Fact based, not gut or ease based. She's also an excellent listener. She asks if she isn't clear, checks on what has changed in life, etc. The system for making appts, etc. is exactly what you'd expect from a large hospital, esp after St. Vincent's closed. Doesn't impact my decision to see her. After three kids, I need someone good.

I like her bur I think she is to busy for me

I'm so surprised at these reviews! I think Dr. Rodriguez is great! She's always warm friendly and chatty, something I take seriously when they have are inserting metal objects in me.

I'm actually shocked by some of these reviews. Dr. Rodriguez is amazing! I love her. I have been going to her for a few years and am having surgery with her in a few months - she has been so helpful and I couldn't ask for a better doc

She removed a large cyst from my ovary some years ago after another doctor told me she would have to remove my whole uterus. Dr Rodriguez took the time to save my ovaries. I thought she was friendly and I liked her immediatly after meeting her. Yes the practice is very busy. But she is still a good doctor.

She didn't ask any questions and was overall very uncaring and condescending. I had to make a point to ask a million questions, all which seemed to annoy her. She spent a total of five minutes with me. I'm switching immediately to find someone who cares and can treat me the way a doctor should.
